Title: IMVU? What is it?
Post by: gafee2001 on December 22, 2009, 02:24:04 pm
I'm not really sure what IMVU is. Has anyone actually tried IMVU? Is it sort of like a mmorpg for real-life interaction? Thanks for the help.

If you have played yo ville on myspace or any of those apps it's kind of like that. I have and account there from b4 but i don't really use it. It's basically Instant messenger but with avatars that you can move around.

I looked at this one as well and agree it appears to be a form of IM using avatars.  Also, it does seem to be something that younger players would enjoy.

Yeah, he's going to need to remove that or face WRATH!

As for IMVU, thanks for the help. I guess it's kind of cool, but may be outdone by simple IM software. Seeing some fake digital representation of a person shouldn't be needed in everyday communication. It could be useful on dating sites, and possibly useful for online shopping sites.
