There are plenty of stars out there like Britney Spears and Mariah Carey that have Multi-Million Doller Mansions and Millions in the bank. There are also plenty of Rich people out there that can afford this stuff and I refuse to feel guilty.

Those people could live an average life with an average car and give the rest away.

Besides, I don't care and I know people will be like OMG but hey do they care about me? Nope. I have health problems and they are getting worse and I see no one with Aid coming my way.

You get what you give :angel12:

Sad but true :(

I plan to give a couple of dollars.  I care because they are my fellow human beings.  I may be in debt and claim I'm broke a lot of times and yadda, yadda but I have a job (for now) some money in the bank, a roof over my head, plenty of food to eat and I am blessed way beyond what most people in this world have so I will give what I can.

Indeed..people should give at least something-money, blood donations (which I'm doing tomorrow), prayers, etc....
It's interesting to see the response to the issue, especially considering the responses to previous issues (9/11, Katrina, etc.)-this is indeed another test...
However, as much as people can give, I hope people understand that it's not just about donating money, etc. in a time of crisis, it's about how we live our lives ALL THE TIME...the issue is that often times we're treating the symptoms, not the disease...I could right a book on what my thoughts are right now, of course, but right now all I can say is that I hope people use this as a chance to reflect and figure out how we can make the world better AFTER the crisis...
In the mean time, my prayers are for the country as well as those who are doing their best to help ....
