Yeah, my thoughts too. Plus, mostly, if not ALL of the CC offers offered here at FC require that the CC bare a name on it. I was told when asked that prepaid cards are not allowed. But others said that they've used them to complete offers. So either A- FC is not catching these or B-I was told wrong.

Well my response to the prepaid card question was right between your A & B (making A(a) I guess lol) . I was told that some of the Sponsors MAY NOT accept prepaid cards. Now a card baring no name at all?? I don't even know how you would fill the form out when the first question is usually "Name on Card". :dontknow:
-
I would just advise anybody wanting to deal with prepaid cards to read not only the gpt sites TOS,but the TOS of the offer you are trying to use it on..especially if you have alot of earnings on a site that you have not cashed out yet...cuz i be damn if i wanna use some prepaid card on some crap i dont really want, only to have the gpt site find out about it an take all my dang money..some of these sites get away with enuff stuff as it is, cuz this is the net..so i dont think i want to assist them by giving them a reason to keep my earnings
-
You are only supposed to complete offers you are interested in. And using a prepaid card is against the rules and when the advertiser turns in the list of accounts who have used them, we have the close the account to keep in good standing with the advertiser.
-
Does that include a PayPal card. I know PayPal cards are considered bank cards and not prepaid, but I want to know this so I don't get removed if I use my PayPal card.
-
can someone help me to get my payment resent to me, i have waited wayyyyy to long

I doubt that goes for PayPal cards since PayPal cards have a visa or mastercard logo on them (can't remember which), and they also have your name on them....
-
Yeah, thats what I thought. It is MasterCard by the way :)

it does'nt matter if it has your name and a logo or not. my allaccess prepaid visa has a visa logo and my name on it but it is still a prepaid card. same as the obopay card. it is a prepaid/gift card. states so right on their site. so make sure you know your card before you use it... as far as the paypal card i dunno about it. you would have to ask paypal that one.

it is not fusioncash that does not allow them... it is the advertisers. so just read the tos for the offers and make sure it does'nt state no prepaid or gift cards :)

ok i was'nt sure as i have seen some say that fusioncash allows it. but i knew that most advertisers did'nt. that's why i use my debit card for offers and i cashout to my prepaid. :)

I know about cards such as Green Dot, you get the card in the mail, it has your name on it but it's not connected to your bank or anything. You just have to get money put on it, usually, via Western Union, have your paycheck put on it, etc.
But I was mainly talking about the prepaid cards you would buy at say Wal Mart. The prepaid credit cards, most purchase them and give them as gifts. Sort of like a Wal Mart gift card but through Visa, Mastercard, etc.
Those don't have a name on them. Think they are referred to as Visa Gift Cards, etc. Use them like Credit Cards but without your name on them. :dontknow:

Yeah, I was being told that too by some here. But sometimes it pays to ask Admin./Staff just to be safe.
I know those that told us that weren't trying to get us into trouble. But they apparently were unclear of rules.
I use my banks visa debit card which is linked to my bank.
The cards I was mainly talking about though were not the prepaids that you get from say, Green Dot, as those do have your name on them when you get them. You just have to fund them to use them.
The one's I was referring to are the Visa, Mastercard, etc. gift cards that you can but at like Wal Mart. They are Credit Cards, think minimal denomination is $25.00. But prepaid and don't have your name on them. Just their logo.
All the same, they are prepaid so against rules to use.

I used my paypal card for almost every offer and have never had a problem in the year I have been on FC.

I use my paypal card - this is not  pre-paid. It is easy to keep track of and you can see company info listed on your account when they take your $$$ :)

yup I use my Paypal also for offers...as my paypal is connected to my bank account...sheeeew..at first I thought I was reading it wasnt ok to use paypal!

paypal would be fine as it states when you apply for the card that you are applying for the paypal debit card... not prepaid... but some need to watch to make sure the card they are useing is not a prepaid.. as my all access visa card is a prepaid but it also has a saveings account that comes with it... but still prepaid.. so just read the info well for the card you have if it's not a flat out cc or debit card before useing it :)

You need to look through this thread carefully and read what one of the FC staff, Kohler had to say about using prepaids, ANY type, here at FC.
It is against FC's TOS. Doesn't matter if it is a Prepaid CC that you can purchase from a store or bank. Prepaid is prepaid and a HUGE no no here.
Just thought you'd like to know.
Considering 99.9% of businesses accept the prepaid cards (i.e Green dot, Momentum Card, etc - That have your name on them) I don't see how FC can say we aren't allowed to use them. That should be STRICTLY up to the advertisers since they are the ones offering the product.
and, maybe I missed it, but I don't see anything in the TOS that says prepaid CREDIT CARDS (not gift cards) aren't allowed.
-
Wait..so IS greendot ok, or no?

I think you did in fact miss several things regarding the issue of using PrePaid cards for offers completed here at FC.
1-The Advertisers that have a deal with FC do not want prepaid cards used to fulfill offers. And it is in fact, against FC' policy to use them b/c Advertisers do not want us using them!

Well since I discovered Obopay through doing offers (which I thank Fusion from the bottom of my heart for telling me about that incredible offer) I use obopay for everything!!! My obopay card bares my name on it and has a "MasterCard" logo on it...it never occured to me that Obopay wouldn't be ok to use, but now I'm wondering is Obopay ok?

I've been a verified Paypal member for 6 years & have had both their CC & Prepaid cards for 2 years. I have one account just for use with my ebay sellers account & one account I use just for all of the GPT sites I belong to that pay me. So would be pretty rhetorical of me to claim that the Paypal debit card is a prepaid card. lol
Furthermore, if you do not like how the rules are here, I suggest you take it up with FC itself regarding the prepaid subject.
Have a GREAT day!

No because Obopay is a prepaid card.
You can use debit cards & CC's for the offers.
Well I may have to stop completely from doing credit card offers. Before Obopay I used my regular credit card and felt I was screwed by so doing. My cc was charged to many times that I did not approve of. With Obopay I always keep enough money on there for whatever charge I agree to when I sign up for offers, but I just feel more safe and secure knowing there's $65 on there rather than $600 like my cc and charge it all up til it's maxed out. :( I guess I'll just stop doing credit card offers altogether then.

The point IS... that card types ARE NOT listed in the TOS, which are the rules we agree to when we sign up... if they don't want us using those prepaid cards it should be stated. Then there wouldn't be all this confusion...
-
If they charge your card its probably because you agreed to it, read things before putting in any information. If they really did charge a card without telling you they would then they would probably be shut down by now.
-
ok well Cosmetique is a good example. I signed up for their offer that was at one point offered on here...to try some of their makeup...and I recieved that free stuff, but month after month they charged me like $30 month for their services. I called them and asked em about it and they said that they were charging me for other stuff that they were sending, which I NEVER recieved another thing from them except that free makeup that I recieved from participating in their offer. I was charged that for like 3 months before I put a stop to it, and yet I never recieved anything else from them people...but they were charging me for something I still have yet to figure out what. and well that's just one example...
-
Id like to know on your banner in forum....where it says total received and completed offer worth is ? what is the differences ?
-
total recieved is the amount in total that has been cashedout... the total in offers done is the total money worth of offers that person has completed in all.. most times it is higher as they have done offers since their last cashout. so have not cashed out the new money yet :)

see there is something you are missing... if you look tru all the threds you will see where ot has been posted.... you can not use them because of the advertisers! and i belong to alottt of gpt sites and they all say no to prepaid also! the advertisers will not pay the site for your opffer of they find you used a prepaid... they used to take them but.. then people would sign up for a trail and then never cancel since they know it was on a prepaid card n they would'nt have to pay anything.. so i'm not sure what all sites you use that say you can use them.. i know swatcash for one.. it states right on the top of the offers page... you mayNOT use a prepaid credit card of any kind.....

Thank You Darling for such a kind response . Happy Holidays

So would be pretty rhetorical of me to claim that the Paypal debit card is a prepaid card. lol
Furthermore, if you do not like how the rules are here, I suggest you take it up with FC itself regarding the prepaid subject.
Have a GREAT day!
The point IS... that card types ARE NOT listed in the TOS, which are the rules we agree to when we sign up... if they don't want us using those prepaid cards it should be stated. Then there wouldn't be all this confusion...
see there is something you are missing... if you look tru all the threds you will see where ot has been posted.... you can not use them because of the advertisers! and i belong to alottt of gpt sites and they all say no to prepaid also! the advertisers will not pay the site for your opffer of they find you used a prepaid... they used to take them but.. then people would sign up for a trail and then never cancel since they know it was on a prepaid card n they would'nt have to pay anything.. so i'm not sure what all sites you use that say you can use them.. i know swatcash for one.. it states right on the top of the offers page... you mayNOT use a prepaid credit card of any kind.....
Thank You joclt22! It goes with what I said of reading the fine print on the Advertisers site as most do NOT accept the use of prepaid cards to fulfill offers on GPT sites! So for the person to say they've used it & have had no problems on other GPT sites, well, it just wasn't caught yet! And you are correct, I belong to about 15 GPT sites in total and ALL of them do not allow the use of prepaid cards to fulfill offers. Perhaps this person is just better than the rest of us and can use them for some odd reason? ;D

2-This is from Kohler who is a FC Staffer, perhaps you missed this post or was absent that day. So here it is again:

You are only supposed to complete offers you are interested in. And using a prepaid card is against the rules and when the advertiser turns in the list of accounts who have used them, we have the close the account to keep in good standing
Well, I've used them on other sites for some of the same offers that they have here and never had a problem. maybe they should actually state it IN the TOS. I read it and it doesn't say a thing about which cards are allowed. And paypal debit cards are not considered prepaid. they are the same as using a checking account debit card.
And what about the people who can't get approved for a credit card or a debit card? I guess their money isn't good enough, right?
I never said anywhere on FC that the Paypal debit card was considered a prepaid. So why add that in when quoting me? Perhaps you should go through this entire thread and properly quote the one who said it is? Just an idea!

maybe it's because i've never signed up for a trial and then not cancelled it because i knew they couldn't charge my card. and these threads are not the TOS... and THAT was the point i was trying to make

You're the only one who seems to be confused. Everyone else who has asked about the use of prepaid cards has been told it's not allowed & they have moved on. You, you sit there and gripe about how FC should have no right in telling us that we cannot use prepaid cards for offers. The fact IS, FC tells us this b/c the advertisers do not allow it!
And I think FC can make any rule they so wish as this is their site & we are making our money from them, NOT the advertisers. The advertisers pay sites such as FC to get them new customers. When the customers, you & I, sign up for an offer, FC gets a bounty for it. That's also why FC tells us to only sign up for offers that we are genuinely interested in. And in return, FC shares with us some of their bounty. FC can offer us these great deals all day long but they do not have to pay us but they do, for our time in completing them.
So for that, you should be grateful and quit griping about the same subject over & over again. Because no matter how much you do so, the rule still applies: NO USE OF PREPAID CARDS TO FULFILL OFFERS!

1. I DON"T USE PREPAID
2. My first comment on this thread was simply an opinion, something i thought might be helpful. I wasn't looking for an argument but you just keep replying (and try to make me sound stupid every time you do)
I guess only certain people's opinions matter here on this forum.

FC Staff did step in & clarify the subject. Just seems that some won't accept the answer given to them & want to whine about the fact that FC doesn't allow the use of Prepaid cards for the offers.
That's why conversation with this individual ceased as you cannot talk logic to a child when all they want to do is throw a tantrum when things don't go their way.
And this is in no way toward you Lendal. I just tire of the whiners. When ya get an answer to a question, move on. Don't keep going & going & going over & over & over the same subject. The answer will still be, NO Prepaid cards for offers, PERIOD!
Have a Great Day Lendal

ok well Cosmetique is a good example. I was charged that for like 3 months before I put a stop to it, and yet I never recieved anything else from them people...but they were charging me for something I still have yet to figure out what. and well that's just one example...
im new and i just got an email that cosmetique will charge me for some random crap. and i called in and the man that to call back the next day. he didnt ignore me, he told me to call back because i just registered for whatever and he told me the information isnt in the system yet. did you ever have to pay them?

i'ma just leave this thread alone for now lolz

Bank debit cards are ok right? Just not pre paids... and did nayone ever find out if its ok to use PayPal debit? I scrolled through the bs here kinda fast and didnt see if that was ok lol

This is really quite easy to understand. If you are using a debit or credit card, it's good. If you're using a card that you have to load funds onto, but doesn't have your name on it or some sort of bank account attached to it, then it's not good.
PayPal is an actual debit card that has your name on it. It's also a Mastercard. You can use it as a credit card when you go to the store. So it's okay.

this thing works haha. nice

i use my paypal debit card when i want to sign up for something.. that's where my money goes that i make here so i just use that card whenever i want to..

-

lol...you're right about asking members stuff...and its one of the reasons i used to have words with the 'FC groupies'...they can be very rude..-but that post Mysted made was a long time ago...and i dont even see her on these forums that often-..
it used to be the self proclaimed groupies that were rude...but after their offers stop crediting or they cant make cashout because there arent any new offers...they usually calm down quite a bit..guess when they figured all that brown nosing wasnt goin to be profitable..they turned 'normal' -shrug-..and in defense of some members (like myself) i only answer questions when i notice the folks that are supposed to be answering them not responding)...
-
Thank you-Lendal-Couldn't have said it better myself!
-
PPL can be just plain rude.. If you want an answer ask Kohler or do a support ticket. Members MAY think they know everything.. but we dont all know it all :) I just try to help but I always sugest doing a support ticket as well.. :BangHead: why do ppl have to be SOOOO annoying lol
-
I just use a regular credit card.
