Title: NEW YORK is proposing a tax on sugar Whats your state doing to screw you?

The Govenor  of N.Y.  (who i like) is proposing a tax of 1cent per ounce on soft drinks juices and sports drinks  so a twelve ounce can of soda or pop (depends on your location) wil be taxed 12 cents. seems kind of excessive to me   ill just have to drink more beer i guess

Wow. That's just outrageous.

Here in Utah we have a tax that's already in place for paying for uncooked foods. They're talking about raising it too because they're not getting enough money out of it.
For Utah taxes you're even supposed to report all of your purchases, even the ones you make online.

Taxes are getting ridiculous again....

politicians are the next best thing to being taxed to death! Just think guys when they decide to tax toilet paper we'll have to go to the hardware store to buy some cheap sandpaper! it would be cheaper than some of the things we're gonna have to buy! FAT POLITICIANS want all our hard earned money so we' are skinny!!!!
