not yet speaking from experience, but I have bookmarked tons of places where you get paid to write articles, paid to post, that sort of thing.  I intend to explore that end of things when my life slows down a bit next month.  petsitting works well too, as said above.  hang in there!

Plasma donation is another thing you might be able to do. I'm allergic to bees so I did this screening test at this one company that pays $100  per donation for allergic people. Of course if I don't qualify then there is always regular plasma donation that pays $25 or so a pop, do that twice a week and that is more than enough for me to buy groceries for myself.

My GF and I are going through the same thing. Rent is expensive, job pay is not enough to live on and finding a 2nd job is hard to come by. I haven't done *bleep* Shops, but we have cut our budget as much as possible, and usually by generics whenever possible.

Replace those standard light bulbs with florescent bulbs, they cut down a lot on power if you replace them everywhere and keep your lights off in rooms that you aren't in. Don't run the A/C or heat and limit showers to 5 minutes. Also keep everything turned totally off when not in use, keeping your dvd player, game consoles, and tv plugged in to an outlet still drains power even when they aren't turned on. At night we have that outlet turned off totally so it doesn't drain power.

Also when shopping for groceries, create a game plan when shopping and make sure to load up on stuff that is on sale at stores in your area, rather than just going to 1 store. Try www.couponmom.com it helps show you deals in your area. Buying sale items adds up to a lot of savings during the year. I also bought a water filter for my sink and it saves me a ton of money every month, since I just drink purified tap water rather than spending a ton on bottled water.

Hope some of that helps. GL

Hi there I know how you feel I have had to look everywhere I currently do a couple survey sites, babysit, clip coupons I always buy generic I think name brand items are a waste of money. I will buy name brand if it is a better quality or it's on sale.

When I started looking for ways to make money it was during the cold months and I was doing a lot of knitting and crocheting so I decided to start selling what I made and did ok with it I just don't like to knit during the hotter months and living in California that's not easy lol

Rummage sale if I have time to do one. They are a lot of work for sometimes a little money. I have tried Ebay but no luck. Must be the type of item that I am selling. It is hard to earn extra money in today's world.

If you don't let your pride get to you, shoveling snow is a great way to earn some extra cash. No taxes, cash right after, and I was earning about $15/hour with my buddies the past couple years. A lot of people (i.e. the elderly, two working parents) actually need it done badly and are happy to pay someone to do it.

I do survey's for a couple sites then this site.  I also have a home business that brings in some.  I use coupons all the time watch the papers for what's on sale especially at walgreens you get the best deals there.  I buy two of everything when on sale more if its going to save me lots of money down the road.  I buy generic only if the name brand isn't cheaper.  You got to watch it on generic items sometimes they are higher than the name brand so don't let them fool ya.  I use to muck stables at our barn but don't have anymore other peoples horses there any more just ours left (thank God)  We got rid of our tv b.c we can see everything online for free.  We got rid of our landline phone and went to Magicjack only $20 a year its great!!  We have saved so much money its crazy I don't owe anything any more.  Thank God.  FC has been good to help with that.  I love this site.   :cat:

I have had lots of yard sales over the years, but, as someone said, they are a lot of work.  I have also sold things on CraigsList.

Some extra work is dependent on your location. I live in So CA so shoveling snow won't work. Movie work is frequently available here but probably not so much in Ohio. I knew of someone made a killing washing windows. Making full time money online isn't easy. If you have a hobby, try making money with it...teach, write a book. And network constantly. Try not to get discouraged and things will get better.

There is always mystery shopping for those that want to earn some extra money. I have always been paid and now I have expanded what I do for the companies. I do a lot of setting up demos according to the POG, small audits, things like that.

I try to just keep cutting back on what I spend. The *bleep* shop gets you a little help BUT then you're stuck trying to get the $ and interest to get your stuff back...so you're just deeper in the hole.
