Title: Another oldbuddy referral tip
Post by: oldbuddy on February 23, 2010, 05:07:13 am
If you want more referrals, start a blogger.com blog and tell your story. Even if you don't make much yet, tell about your dream or someone else you know about. Then get a free account with LinkReferral.com and visit 30 pages a day, review 5 or them and make one a favorite and post in their forum at least once. You will get a top listing in the directory and several real visitors a day, much better than any traffic exchange.

While you are doing this, if you come across another blog, leave a comment which will create a link back to yours. Even if the other blog owner is the only one that sees it, it's one more qualified visit. If you can't leave a comment because of the captcha code not having an input box, watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JptTKoE3D4

I am spamming it on twitter and facebook. At first my friends though someone hacked my acct lol. I had to assure them it is in fact ME and I'm not trying to pull their chain.  8)
You are risking it all my friend, especially when you publicly declare it here, didn't you read the terms?

Thanks yet again oldbuddy.  Contributions like yours make this forum strong.  I also have to give FusionCash credit for having this forum for their community.  Even though I'm relatively new here, I feel I'm only going to appreciate these tools more and more over time.

Yes, he is a wise man!  I also ALWAYS leave comments to help others out...it is good for everyone.  Most people do not see it this way though, they end up thinking it will help out the other person so don't want to leave a comment at all.  But it help out you, them, everyone!  It shows you support others, are there to help, are not selfish, ect, ect....the list goes on!  The sooner people realize this the better!  Good luck to all!

The same thing applies to joining anything from a referral link. It takes absolutely NOTHING away from you and helps someone else, but I have heard of people stripping off the referral portion just to keep from giving credit to anyone.

Another trick I discovered with Link Referral is instead of browsing through a category to visit your 30 sites, do a search for a term that your site will rank high for, then each site you visit will get an email telling them how their site was found. Most people will get curious and go do the same search and guess what, your site will be in the top of the results they find. It's not a sure thing, but it doesn't take any longer so why not?

I'd been a little unsure about how to get into the referral game so thanks for this post!  I already had a blogger acct, that I use for a blog, so I just added a new blog about the things I do online for cash and just joined the LinkReferral site.  Hopefully this'll work to bring in a little more $$.

You make me smile, old buddy.  Making money and giving away tips for free.  I swear, not much of that going on in the world today.  When I get beat down with the stresses of life and feel as though no one cares about anyone but themselves, I see people like you and then I know that there are still good, honest, regular people left in the world.  I just wish there were more.

Oldbuddy, you are a very helpful person, and I hope you are very well rewarded for your efforts. I have a question, how do you get referrals that actually do offers here? I have a few referrals, but none of them have ever done any offers, so I only got the 1.00 bonus just for them confirming their account. So how do you persuade people to actually do offers here?

Educate them BEFORE they sign up, then remind them to click the link to let you contact them when they enroll. Once they sign up, unless you recognize the user name you are lost.

By that I mean let them know what to expect, but do NOT tell them which offers to do or walk them through, that's against the TOS and can get you deleted.

Thanks for your comment, but I have just one tiny correction, oldbuddy has no space. I know that seems silly, but it makes a huge difference on Google. Let me know if you need any more brainstorming partners.

Thank you so much!  I recently started a blog and had no idea how to generate traffic without spending a bunch of money.
There are lots of free traffic generation methods, but most of them are priced just about right. The best of all is to get into communities and forums where you can relate to other readers and attract them to your blog one at a time.

These tips are so great! I am always looking for new pay-to-click, pay-to-survey or other similar types of sites. Unfortunately they do require a lot of referrals to get large sums of cash, and no one I know ever believes these things will pan out or be worth their time! I will have to check out the Linkreferral site, because I had made a site to promote my links and these types of places so that others can get in on it too, but no one seems to visit them!

The reason I say a blog is it's easier to create and search engines like blogs. I also have ways to get traffic to blogs that don't work for websites.

Good suggestions, however, how long does this process take before it actually leads to profitable connections?  Either way, I will try out LinkReferal and BlogSpot.  If for nothing else, blogging your goals/dream/etc. keeps your work focused and directed.  Thank you!

How long it takes is impossible to predict, it depends a lot on how active you are promoting and if others respond. I started a new free blog last Christmas and switched directions to start getting active March 19 with it, but I have over 2,500 visits already.

That is the epitome of selfishness!  :angry7:

It has been very beneficial for me to help others by helping them get referrals, and by making sure they get credit when someone refers me to a program that I'm interested in joining!

Why many don't see the benefits of helping others, I'll never know!  :dontknow:

All I can say is that it's typical of human nature to be selfish.

What I read is you want the BEST way, right? Absolutely no doubt that getting a domain name (even .info for 89 cents a year at GoDaddy) and some Cpanel hosting (a few dollars a month) to install Wordpress (auto install with Fantastico in Cpanel) and search for a free theme. This is NOT rocket science and there are lots of free tutorials around to guide you. The most important thing is do NOT use it as an ad board, supply valuable content on a regular basis and gain followers first.
