I was reading about Howard Stern's comment about the Precious star and the reaction the comment has received. For one, Howard Stern doesn't exactly say things in the nicest way possible, so why are these people surprised. Two, the actress is huge! Obesity, especially that big, will significantly shorten a life. I personally wouldn't want to watch another movie with her in it, despite talent. Society needs to stop promoting obesity.
What do you think?

I completely agree. I never listen to Howard Stern, he is a flippn idiot. He has nothing to say that I want to listen to. I can't believe people give him the time of day. And I am not worried about that poor girls weight. If she is happy the way she is so be it. If she decides to drop a few pounds then so be it. It shouldn't affect her career, but with the industry that she is in it will.

DONT BELIEVE HOWARD IS THE SAME GUY ON AND OFF THE AIR. AND I DO BELIEVE HE IS A SMART GUY OR WE WOULDNT BE HAVING THIS POSTING. THE POINT IS TO GIVE PEOPLE SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT AND I GUESS IT WORKED :peace:

Stern is old news

I agree because as young as she is she's huge and people try to make that look cute. I m not exactly skinny myself but I m not obese and I do workout to keep a thick figure but there's a difference between thick and FAT :P

Howard Stern might be a Flippen Idiot :bootyshake: But, He is laughing all the way to the bank reguardless of what people think of him!(Later)

Umm what do you want us to do? She's big...do you want us to completely shun her? All I can say is she's fluffy as hell and she's probably made a lot more money then a lot of us here. Her being big isn't promoting her being fluffy. She just is. She also has brown hair, does that mean she's promoting having brown hair? Yes she could do something about it, but who are we to make her?
And I heard what Howard Stern said. I don't particularly like him, but it's Howard Stern. And he made some valid points, just in a rude way.

I happen to like Howard Stern. but i also think that every one needs to realize that people are just people and we dont all fit into the molds that society would like each of us to be in.. Personally I take howard stern with a grain of salt

I personally do not like Howard Stern. Howard is Howard and his comment really doesn't surprise me but it was not necessary. Keep your negative thoughts to yourself. There is no need to put someone down because of their weight or for any other reason. Give out compliments it is so much nicer!

Howard Stern is only saying what's already else is thinking but is afraid to say.
C'mon...LOOK AT HER, and then look at the rest of the regular Hollywood cast of actors. (singing) One of these things is not like the other...
I highly doubt she's going to have a hugely successful career as an actor. She's too fat and doesn't even have a pretty face. And yes, being of that size is going to create all sorts of health problems as she gets older.
She just lucked out on being cast for a part that requires a fat person.
Say what you want about all this being mean, cold-hearted, whatever. Think about it and you'll realize is the truth, you just don't want to admit it.

She is 26 or so. I don't think it's very nice to shun people that are obese, but we definitely shouldn't act like it's okay. I hate seeing girls parading around when they're big and saying it's beautiful and it's okay to be big. No it's not, it's unhealthy. You should lose weight for your health. I wish someone would sit down with that girl and just explain to her every possible problem that will go wrong with her health if she doesn't lose weight, so she can see what kind of damage she's doing to her poor body.

Another thing, do people not realize being big doesn't necessarily equal unhealthy? Just like being skinny doesn't equal healthy.

This is true, but being that big is most definitely unhealthy.

I like the fluffy reference, a polite way to say big. ;D

Agreed. I never even got that big, but I was close to 200 lbs and just felt sluggish all the time. I was 24 at the time and have tried to work out and shed lbs since then just to remain healthy. I sympathize with "big bone" people, I do, but there is a point when you've outgrown your bones and are flat out obese. I have "big bones", even with exercise I will never get below a size 7 because I will not look healthy that skinny, I just have to find the healthy medium.
I think that's the nice way of phrasing what Howard Stern said though. She isn't healthy and if people want to say she's beautiful and doesn't need to change a thing, they are contributing to her ultimate death.

Ok, you're right that skinny doesn't equal healthy, but big is unhealthy. I dare you to go to a doctor and ask them if 250+lbs in women is healthy. I'll say it (not so proudly, but oh well), I weigh 172lbs and my Wii board still says I'm overweight.

That's the beauty of the constitution: Freedom of Speech. I'm glad I don't live in a country where I can get arrested for voicing my opinion. God bless the USA!

Lol yeah but that's because the Wii is so skinny. And it comes from Japan. Lol Wii would like to play...because it thinks we're all too fat and need the exercise.

Hollywood is more about the public's idea of beauty and less about talent. Example: Megan Fox. Howard Stern has a point, but he said it a jerky way because he gets paid to be a jerk.
