Title: "boo boo" in the toilet (parents of young children will enjoy)
Post by: Valerie1979 on March 22, 2010, 05:20:49 pm
my son --- who is 2 1/2 has been working on potty training.
tonight he told me he had to "boo boo" (#2, poo poo -- whatever you call it) and he agreed to use the "big boy potty" for this for the FIRST TIME.

the first sight of boo boo in the toilet scared him a little, but then he learned he could read a book and sing songs as he proceeded to finish his business.  I gave him some ice cream as his special treat for accomplishing this monumental feet..... :)

What a great day for this Mommy!   We might actually be potty trained BEFORE he turns 3!

Thats great, but I'd be a little leary about kissing any Boo Boo's from now on. LOL

Congrats... I found it very easy to potty train my son, started at around 18 months and by his 2nd bday he was a pro, the hard part is getting him to wipe himself. He refuses to do it for fear of getting it on his hands or not wiping well enough and having stains... he's 5 now and still won't do it and will hold it until he knows his mom is around to wipe his butt! Lol... now how do I break this???

I still can't get my son to go and he is 3! UGH! It is so frustrating.

Congrats to you!! It is awesome when you can get rid of the diapers! Time to celebrate!!

my little guy isn't a pro yet and we call it "doo doo or poo poo" but the 2 year old makes it sound like "boo boo" :)

Have you tried the new  flushable wipes they have just for kids? I can't remember the name of them but they are next to the Pull Ups in the store. Maybe if he knows he can get clean himself he will want to. My boy did this too, and eventually I just had to make him. I know it sounds mean but I just told him he'd have to sit there until he wiped. After one time there was no more problem. He did take forever because he was paranoid about leaving any behind (no pun intended) but I just let him do it his way and he eventually got faster.
