Title: Who's winning the world series this year?

I think the Yankees are gonna win it back to back!!

There's no reason to think that they can't/won't.  Honestly, outside of all being a year older, their offense is pretty much the same as last year, outside of swapping Granderson and Johnson for Damon and Matsui.  I'd consider Granderson and Damon a wash, if not an upgrade due to age and defensive skill.  However, they might have gotten a tad weaker with Johnson over Matsui.  Johson has great OBP, but not nearly the power numbers as Matsui.

Pitching-wise, I don't think there is any arguing their pitching is much stronger with the addition of Vazquez.  And if they ultimately put Chamberlain in the bullpen (which they should), and everyone down there stays healthy, they just might have the best overall bullpen in all of baseball.

Honestly, I'll kind of be shocked if we don't have a World Series rematch this year of Philly and NY.

Off to a 10-3 start and haven't lost a series yet.  Starting pitching has been strong, outside of Vazquez.  But, if he gets it together, you may be looking at a starting rotation where all 5 pitchers get 15+ wins.  This team is looking quite scary right now.

But, don't count out the Rays in the AL East. They're only 0.5 game back and keeping nice pace!

Right now I would say the Yankees but it's only been a few weeks so we'll have to wait and see. It will probably be a world series rematch between the Yankees and the Phillies. I feel sorry for the teams that never have a chance (royals, orioles, etc.)

Yankees and george steinbrenner should be banned from competing in any type of playoffs They have cheated to win 4 too many years!!!! go royals, indians, or anybody but the yankees!!!!!
