I think that Obama is not helping his country. My husbands in the Military (active duty) He poles majority of his ship mates think Obama is not getting voted second term. Considering the mess he was left with I think he is trying and doing the best that he can. It took years to get where we are and it will take time to fix it.

I have great pleasure writing about Obama. For money supply we need more projects. He has changed the healthcare laws and financial regulatory. From this companies need many people to complete these projects in time. I hope companies might hire soon. Hope I will be one of them.

The mess he was left with is not his fault. He is trying to fix things and people need to give him a chance to do that but people for whatever reason are making it very difficult for him to do this. Like it or not he is the president. I think he is very intelligent. I admire his courage to try to bring the country back from the brink of collapse despite forces that want to oppose his every move just because.

I think he maybe trying but also making it harder on us all. I mean mandatory health care for everyone, if you don't have health you are fined, not good. It seems like the Democrats are all about money, and the republicans want wars, can't we find someone that is just truely for the American people.

I think President Obama is a unique individual. He's a gentle, yet forward-moving man:who has had to put up with extreme BS from all corners. I admire his intellect and pray that God watches over him and his beautiful family. Southern Christian with an attitude :peace: :notworthy:

Lol so how many people are on these ships? Is it more then 63+ million? 63+ million being the number of people who voted for him. PRO-CHOICE ATHEIST! If this country was founded on God, he probably should have stepped in and not let him get elected. But he didn't do that did he?

Please tell me how the f%^& he thinks he will get homeless people to pay for health care coverage or taxes or medical bills .... The country is cracked and he is making it worse. Force is the only way anything will ever change. It will take the breaking point of the majority of CITIZENS before anything will ever change. As long as we continue to sit back and give them power over us nothing will ever change. The government will grow larger and larger and never doubt they only care about themselves.

I do not get involved with most of the whole political issues that most people care about but I am very disapointed that Obama cancelled the NASA return to the moon program. I was hoping to get involved with the Space program but now I guess I'll be giving tours of what was the space program.

Every President Inherits proplems, every President has right wing lunatics to deal with,and every president has oposition.Maybe im getting older and understand more about politics. These people in office today cant agree on anything. It just dosnt seem to be as hard to come up with a plan to get this country back to where it should be. There are all kinds of ways to make money, Marijuana, Prostitution, Lower the drinking age, lower the age for cigarettes It dosnt matter underage use is rampant anyway, you cant stop it, But it all comes down to the yahoos we vote for.

What good is going to the moon when we have so many problems here on earth? Seriously. You want to see them spend billions more dollars for the moon when we could use that money to pay down the debt, feed the hungry, get the homeless shelter, provide more jobs, better education, the list goes on and on.
IMHO I think the moon landing was fake. You think they really had that kind of technology back then? They didn't even have the know how to make a cell phone let along send someone to the moon.

Don't ask me. That's why I didn't run for president. But I'm getting tired of people who get mad because he DOESN'T do something. Then start complaining when he finally DOES. The day when he does something you all actually approve of, I look forward to your new reactions. If you have a better idea, just run for president next time. I agree. But on the other side, insurance companies are horrid businesses and only help the rich and the healthy. This seems like a lose-lose situation. I'm just crossing my fingers that they aren't going to make it mandatory with high premiums coming out of my pay.

It wasn't fake. And they did have the tech back then. I was a huge space-race junkie growing up. You can't put a present cell-phone on the same mantle as the tech they had 40 years ago.

Seeing as how Obama now says its ok for the government to go and murder an American citizen in cold blood, I think he's getting worse with each passing day. Even Bush and Darth Cheney didn't give themselves that power.
I'm very disappointed with Obama. He had a chance to really lead, but he isn't.

The summit meeting that opens next week in Washington will bring together nearly four dozen world leaders, the largest such gathering by an American president since the founding of the United Nations 65 years ago. Mr. Obama said he hoped to use the session to lay down tangible commitments by individual countries toward his goal of securing the world’s nuclear material so it does not fall into the hands of terrorists or dangerous states.
His emphasis is just on teaching 'self-control' over supposed trigger-happy and loose-cannon countries that are developing nuclear weapons. It's an extremely justified cause to stand by in this developing world. And why does he do this? Because he cares about his family and the US. And apparently the state of the world.

If you have this insight as to what precisely is going down in politics, what are you going to do about it? Start a resistance? Or just vent on a random forum with average arguments?

I'm sure they're just as safe as they were yesterday. Maybe you could explain what's wrong with the current strategy? He's just less trigger-happy with nukes. He wants an effective strategy that won't turn a developing country into a radioactive wasteland (think of the families, kids, and relatives in those countries). This is a good thing.

Your failure to explain your reasoning makes me question this. First, you're taking this article way too personally. Second, you obviously didn't read the article very well if you're taking a highly-opinionated approach over something that's being discussed on a worldly-scale. Third, if you post something, you're going to have to back up your claims as to why we aren't safe despite everything said in the article with something other than "THIS IS BS WE'RE NOT SAFE HE'S TOO PACIFIST AND WILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY KILLED!".
This is current news. Nuclear energy is an extremely powerful and scary thing. Given the worlds current state on handling nuclear-power and keeping it as a non-aggressive tool, this sounds like a legitimate plan. Call it warm and fuzzy, but I don't want anything bad to come of this plan. Please explain why I should invest in hazmat suits until he's out of office.

I am not really a big fan of his, but considering what he was left with from the previous leaders messes I think he's doing what he can to try and fix things. Who knows, maybe this will all work out in the future. Only time will tell.

I personally really like him. I don't understand whats NEGATIVE about his new health care bill; it helped my dad get health insurance. No one else would give it to him til this bill was passed.

I think we are letting the wool slip over our eyes, but hey that is with all politions, democrats, republicans, all of them are rich and we pay more taxes than we make, I figured, if we had what we paid in taxes alone, we would have a nicer place than we are living in now, the taxes they take could afford us a bigger place. I am tired of supporting everyone on a middle class income.

I am tired of supporting everyone on a middle class income.
I'm glad we help people that are getting shafted (losing their jobs, lost insurance and kids are sick, can't find another job) The way I see it is the people taking advantage of our taxes (the low-lifes who refuse to even look for a job, etc.) are getting so little that they aren't amounting to anything. Even if they're using our cash, they're wasting their lives not trying to grow from it. They live in a land known for opportunity and they'd rather squander it leeching off of others. So screw 'em.
I mostly agree with your entire post. A big chunk of it goes into our defense and security though.

2.) Super.....did you happen to catch the TITLE of the article? It's titled "Obama LIMITS when we can use nuclear arms"....hello? Does this say "MORE SAFE NOW" to YOU? (He CHANGED the current policy, it WASN'T changed to be MORE safe---you need to read it really good. Read it like you were reading the fine print on a contract and maybe you'll get it!
First off, yes. Lessening the use of nuclear arms is a good idea. I do feel safer. Not necessarily for just the US, but the rest of the world. Why? I read more than just a title.
Obama described his policy as part of a broader effort to edge the world toward making nuclear weapons obsolete, and to create incentives for countries to give up any nuclear ambitions.

This means he does not want to add a apocalyptic scenario to an under-developed country due to terrorism. He wants to have our lesser-weapons ready to subdue any threat of that magnitude. This is the equivalent of stepping on a poisonous spider with a shoe rather than running a titan-tire over it-- who knows what else you may smash. Also understand that this review excludes Iran and North Korea for very good reasons (as I'm sure you can agree).

i would have to sya i am am fairly unimpressed at this point..we were looking forward to adding our 23yr old back on to our health care but because we work for a large company they are grandfathered and will not be required to offer the coverage...i feel like i was misled

i am very optimistic, and i think he is doing good all things considered, he did something about health care ,good or bad at least he is trying, and the greedy heatlh insurance companys dont like it

What do I think of President Obama...now that he is in office, I'd say that he has had a lot to contend with and yes, some are making things more difficult. I can't recall a President ever walking in and having an easy time of it though. It takes time for good change to occur, so I'd rather judge after he completes his term. Unemployment, 2 wars, health care, Supreme Court nominations... lots of irons in the fire.

Well although Obama has interesting ideas for our country's future, I don't feel he was actually elected for his reasoning. Lets face it, a chance at having a black president influenced many African Americans. Not putting any shame or fault on Obama, but we'll see what he makes out of his time in service.

Well, I think we didn't really have a choice yet again, when it came to who is president, why do we always have to choose between someone who is all the way for the rich, and someone who might have idea's that is away from our Lord. We should have a president, that supported the people, and not filling congressman, and lobbyist pockets, and also have a president who follow good morals, that stuck to what our land was founded on. The puritans came over here to get away from the Brittish rule, they came here so they could have freedom of religion, to worship our Lord, why do you think this country was blessed for so many years, God blesses nations, now look at the way this nation is going, we are getting blown up, these idea's are becoming laws, marriage isn't sacred anymore. and media, don't even get me started, just look at our kids, and what they know.

It is sad that third-party candidates don't get enough light for not subscribing to this list. That's capitalism I suppose. I had a chance to see Nader speak at a big theater last year but I failed to get tickets. I'm still kicking myself.

We're under attack due to extremists not liking our way of life. What ideas are becoming laws? Marriage isn't sacred much anymore because people have found that they have options-- both for the good and bad of the couple. And yes, bias news media is horrible. Kids shouldn't watch it.
