I think the economy is slowly starting to rebound. (at least where I live) Hopefully we as a nation are smart enough to spend less than we make so this doesn't happen again!!

Its just nature of the economy to rise and fall.  We just need to learn to save up when it rises and spend wisely when it falls.

I agree with dgourd. Just saving is not the answer. Spending wisely 'is'.
