Has anyone here heard of linuxmail.org before? If so, thoughts on it?

Nope, I have never heard of it. I only use the popular ones like gmail, hotmail, yahoo lol~ Sorry I wasn't much help :-X

Never heard of it but now that site is redirecting me to mail.com
Is it similar to others like gmail, yahoo?

It's part of mail.com/AOL, so it's just like using the regular AOL website email.

I don't think Linux is part of AOL. It is a free, multi-language OS (operating system), like Windows or Mac, but operates within it's own parameters. The mail is widely used within corporations because many of them use the Linux OS. IBM is probably one of the largest that uses it. The mail system is fine, but it doesn't support as many home users as the other big ones like Google, Yahoo, AOL. Linux is what runs TiVo, Skype, and a lot of other well known things used today. It is completely safe if that's what you're asking.
