Here's and offline strategy I use. Go have some inexpensive business cards made up with a catchy saying on them and your sign up link. Don't put too much information on the card, just enough to get someone curios. Something like:

Then, every time you stop by a gas station to put gas in your car, (when you are leaving) place one of your cards in the little "gas pump credit/debit card slot" on the pump. The next person that uses that pump, MUST take your card out of the slot in order to use that credit slot to put gas in their car. This puts your card in their hands. Chances are they will just stick it in their pocket until later. When they are cleaning their pockets at home, they may go to your site and check out FusionCash and sign up under you.
Hope that helps.

have you actually gotten referrals this way? it seems like
a very good idea, either way! did you find someone's business
card in your gas slot and it sparked the idea? very interesting...
a lot of smaller/locally owned restaurants, libraries, and stores
have community bulletin boards open to anyone with a flyer.
or you could even put the business cards up there, too.

If you are going to do this, invest in your own domain name or they will probably leave the referral part off. You can set up a splash page there or even forward it to your referral link. If you're really strapped for cash, get a .info name from GoDaddy for 89 Cents a year. If it saves you from losing one referral it paid for itself. If you can't afford hosting for your domain, use free hosting and forward your domain name there. You can even use the same domain name to give to telemarketers when they call you.

I have been using this technique on other things and just started using it here so I have not as of yet got any referrals (but I just started doing it for FC). Actually, I thought up this idea myself. I don't know if anybody else came up with it first. This also works well with ATM Machines you find in Malls. Go out on a Saturday morning around 9 am. (most malls open up at 10) and drop your cards then. Also, the mall where I live has these black recliner "message" chairs that people put like a dollar into to get a message in them for a few minutes. I usually drop a card in the seat.
Here's another idea I came up with. On a pay phone, pick up the handset and place a business card between the little "receiver toggle" on the phone and the handset. When people go to use the phone and pick up the handset, they will see your card there.
How about this. Go to a local flea market (or wherever you can find) and have a huge "button" made that says something like "Make FREE Money NOW...ASK ME HOW! When people see your button, "they'll ask...just give them a business card, tell them to visit the site and then WALK AWAY! Don't spend time "explaining" FusionCash. Just let them go to the website and let the website do the selling for you.
As far as flyers (this will work with business cards too) Go to your local post office on a late Saturday afternoon (when the P.O. is closed and everyone has gone home for the weekend) and go into the open lobby area and lay out your promotional material on the work tables for people to see. Many people check their mail on weekends. If your advertising material is there on late Saturday afternoon, Saturday night and all of Sunday, you may get some referrals that way.
Hope that helps

Thanks everybody for your kind words. I try to think "outside the box" because I don't want to be doing everything the same way everyone else is doing it (unless it's a proven, time tested system that is still working.) Too many people today just want to "follow the herd".
Here's another technique I use. My town has these bright colored metal boxes that they usually put in the weekly "employment finder" newspapers. If your town has these, try and find out on what day they deliver a NEW batch of papers for the week. Place your advertising material either in those boxes (or if you have time) slip your flyer or business card in EACH paper. So many people are looking for work these days so I feel this is a good place to advertise.
Hope that helps.

Good point Oldbuddy. I usually direct then to my main website (for now) until I can put together a splash page.

Just remember, It takes a regular "consistent" effort. The more people get used to seeing your advertising, the better your chances that they will take you up on it.

I know. Stepping outside your comfort zone is not easy sometimes but I believe it will be worth it in the longrun.

wow, i have to say that's really going the distance and thinking outside the box.
it's a really creative idea but i wonder how successful that strategy can be.
i'd consider trying that out myself but i don't think i'm that dedicated or if i can actually handle doing something like that.

I will try some of these ideas too. Good luck to us.

Hello Oldbuddy,
Thanks for the GoDaddy tip. GoDaddy seems to be very reasonable for the budding Internet Marketer. I think I will be using it to start a website that will promote FC and other programs to get more referrals.
I think having your own domain name is an important element if you're seriously considering becoming an Internet Marketer. It is what will become your brand, and like you say, even if you start out using free web hosting services you can redirect your domain name to the free service.
Thanks again Oldbuddy

This is brilliant, have you actually attempted this and do you know what your referal rate is? (How many cards stuffed/refferals gained) and how much are you paying for business cards plus your time of stuffing the ads versuses just paying for an ad?
Just Curious

These are some great tips. I am definately going to try them.
I would assume you can just make your own business cards or flyers at home. The punch out cards are pretty cheap at office depot.
Thanks again.

Tell you friends about it. Its safe, simple, and free! I show them the BBB logo and their rating. The banners are also super useful

I have a yahoo messenger account and the first thing I do is ask friends if they might be interested. I also send friends emails. Hope you can get some referrals.
