I think most people who havent went to college are more likely to wish they had. Definately would like to find out though.

A few years ago I got as far as applying to community college for online classes. But they never got back with me about the placement exam. :dontknow: I'm glad they screwed up, it would have just been money wasted. I live in the middle of nowhere, a lotto ticket will get a better return than an education.

i'm going to have to strongly disagree with you there. You might live in the middle of nowhere but, I'm pretty sure you have a WalMart near by or some form of corporate place. If you get a job there and plan on keeping it and want to be more than a lifer (I used to work at WalMart just out of high school and lifers are the people content to stock shelves their entire adult life making little more than minimum wage) you need to have an education, sure, a few people will get bumped up because they've been with the company for a while but I can't even name one person who was a store, district or regional manager who didn't have a college degree, let alone someone running HR within the store itself. There are a lot of jobs out there that would prefer you to have a college degree. Hell, to even be a secretary most places, at least in MN are looking for an Admin Asst Degree. Just some food for thought, oh and fyi, I don't live near the city either.

I do actually. That's why I'm going now. I just wish I went sooner instead of working straight out of high school.

I think an education will be better this days.... You never know what your boss expecting you. I don't know about a ticket where you get the money from to buy. Unless someone rich gave you those money to buy. My mom spend a lot of money buying a lottery ticket and never see that she win anything. I think a waste of money more buying a dream that it hard to get. In the other hand an education will come your succeed soon if you keep working on it. Your future will come.

I'm glad that I waited to go to college because I was actually able to enjoy it and get more out of it. I think that most kids who go to college straight from high school are not going to get the full benefit of their education (with a few exceptions). I remember talking to our guidance counselors and discussing which schools were the "party" schools that should be avoided. No surprise that a large chunk of my class chose from that list. I think college is seen more as an escape from home then a step in your life path for kids. People should know what they want out of their classes before signing up to get their generic diploma which doesn't help in the long run....just look at all the articles lately about college graduates who can't find work. Most employers want experience and are willing to help you get your education to move up.

I never went to college but now i am getting that change through online college. This is the only way I could be able to go back to school to get a degree I am now working on my Bachelors of science for web designing. I figured if I am going back to school to choose something i am interested in :)

Hopefully a lot more people are taking advantage of online colleges.
