So where do you guys think is the best place to bank? I have banked at 53rd all my life but that's only because my Mom started my account there when I was young. I wanted to consolidate my bills, and they denied me. What can a girl do? They also slammed me with over $100 in overdraft fees recently. Maybe I should switch banks?

Credit unions are better if you ask me. I like to spread my money around so I have accounts at a couple different banks including online and a credit union.

That's what my manager said - she spreads her money around. It sounds like the smart things to do but I like all my stuff in one spot or I feel like I have more to keep track of. I do have like 4 accounts with 53rd though, so I can kind of spread it, but that doesn't save me when bankrupcy comes.

All of the Banks are bad I think. I've had accounts with Wells-Fargo, Chase and Bank Of America...they now will not reverse fees...even if a deposit was to be posted they take the debit first so they get the $35.00 overdraft fee...TCF is pretty good but they are more mid-west and inside Jewel/Albertsons grocery stores.
