Just to let you know I have a psycho living next door. I'm interested in your thoughts on this. The lady next door to me is nuts. She talks to herself. She curses people out for no apparent reason and she has a racist attitude towards people of her own race. I mean that to me is something crazy. She humps the steps in broad daylight. She offers herself to the maintenance workers. She's really crazy. She called the firemen yesterday and make them come over to check her apartment because she said she smelled gas and there was no gas leak anywhere. One of the maintenance workers had to tell the firemen that she's crazy and to pay no mind to her. I felt bad for those poor firemen. They could've been saving someone's life instead of having to come and deal with her mess. I'm praying that they kick her out of here soon because the apartment complex was much better without her. I'm wondering what makes people crazy in the first place. I'm interested in reading your comments to see if you have anyone in your neighborhood as crazy as my neighbor is.

Crazy happens. That's no reason to kick her out of the apartment. As long as she isn't hurting anybody. Lol maybe the stairs she was humping will file a sexual assault charge on her.
-
Who knows what happened to her in the past that has resulted in her current behavior. Perhaps she was a victim of a crime or abuse and her present behavior is a self-defense mechanism she created to survive it. Perhaps she's suffering from some mental/physical/combination illness and she needs medication to control her behavior - maybe she stopped taking her meds or can't afford her meds. Maybe she's just that way and doesn't care.
As long as she's not destroying property or harming anyone, be pleasant to her and ignore her insults. If you see she's becoming a danger to herself or others, you may want to call your landlord with your concern, but the call should be more about your concern about her welfare and the welfare of the other tennants vs being angry and demanding she be kicked out.

Do ex-wives count?

No I don't have any psycho living next door. The lady next to you might just be lonely. You never know what her past holds. Good luck.
-
I had a crazy neighboor next door who used to complain about my dog barking when it was in fact someone's dog like 3 blocks away.
-
this is quite hilarious and makes me bored with everyone who lives in my complex

Lol! Yeah it was kind of hillarious when I saw her doing those things. But yeah, she didn't take her meds that day. If only you heard or saw the things she said then you would know what I'm talking about. At the same time I felt bad though because I wonder how people get crazy like her. There's a Registered Nurse that lives here and she made a comment that the lady needs to be institutionalized. She already made a diagnosis without talking to her. It's just the way the lady acts all the time.

Do you think your neighbor is off of her medication? Maybe she is extremely lonely and needs a friend or a pet. You should talk to her and see if you can help her.

Guess what the psycho asked my husband out today. I couldn't believe the nerve she had to do that especially if she knows he's married to me. Uugghh! He wouldn't touch her anyway. Yuck! Definitely not his type. I told my hubby before that if he ever decided to cheat on me. It better be with somebody better looking than me, smarter than me and nicer than me. Cuz what he got now he can't find elsewhere. I would be pissed if he left me for some ugly chick with no brains and treated him like *bleep*. Lol! I got to stop. I'm being bad.
-
She wants attention. Is she lonely? I think you should pray for her well being and not for her to leave. Don't know .....does she have any children ...grandchildren..... how old is she. I think she needs friends. :angel11:

I've never lived by any psycho's but we did have some hillbilly idiots living below us not too long ago. (I live in a duplex)

Your neighbor almost sounds like my neighbor. My neighbor likes to dance in the rain and threaten to throw bleach on people because she is paranoid that everyone is talking about her behind her back... CRAZY with a capital CRAZE!

I used to. He would walk outside and start shooting his guns in the air. I had to move.

Its a shame that people have mental illness problems. They need to be on medication. Hopefully progress will be made to help treat or even cure mental illness. Many people with terrible or weird behavior suffer from mental illness or disorders. Sometimes even a slight mental disorder can cause people to behave in strange ways.
-
My neighborhood is filled to the brim with rich, old people. So yeah, a lot of them are crazy and eccentric.
-
your neighbor shares some characteristics of my neighbor who lives down the road from me,, he has schizophrania,,he talks to himself and has a make belive person named bob that he talks to , its pretty scary because bob tells him to do stuff , the police have been called on him because of him trying to injure himself and he has been in and out of the psych ward...... i now how you feel..
-
There are some homeless people who migrate around my neighborhood who are definitely mentally ill. I don't have any funny stories about them, I try to avoid them at all costs.

She REALLY doesn't want anyone else around her to be happy or thriving in some way, if she doesn't have it, she will sabotage someone elses joy!

i dont have a psycho living next to me but i live in a psycho neighborhood i mean come on man i live in new orleans! theres psychos everywhere! not saying i am one though, but maybe i amm hmmmmm :'(

I have some strange people living across the yard from me, but I'm REALLY lucky with my next door neighbors-both sides are both really nice! I've been friends with one side for about 14 years and the other side is a very nice guy who is in a long distance relationship so he's hardly ever home (but he still comes over and cuts my front lawn every week without me asking!).
-
You can't always assume that someone is a psycho. Have you tried talking to her and possibly determine why she is doing these strange things? Could she be lonely or mentally disadvantaged or what? Her being weird is no reason for her to be kicked out of her apartment just because you don't like her behavior. There has to be a reason for her acting out like that. Does she have family who can look in on her? I am sure management have family member or friend listed as the next of kin. Possibly they can explain her behavior. Good luck.

Yes, I have 2 mentally ill people in my neighborhood. One is my next door neighbor, she claims she's only bipolar but I believe she may also be schizophrenic because several times she has called us on the phone crying and screaming that she see's demons and we would rush over to comfort her. That would happen at least 2 or 3 times a year, but besides that, she actually doesn't cause that much of a problem other than being annoying and always asking for something...Now the other one is a different story....It's a crazy man that lives at the end of the block that calls himself King James. Over the years he has done some crazy stuff, but this past fall he brought a brand new white SUV and spray painted 'FBI' on the side of it and drove around the neighborhood, but then like a month later he brought another brand new white car and that evening he decided to drive around the block entirely ON THE SIDEWALK! We called the police and they took him, but every time they would take him, they would release him! It's crazy!

No, I am married to one, happy one minute, and a raging maniac the next.

Well reason I say she's psycho is because she tried to get in my other neighbor's apartment by force. My neighbor had to actually push her away because she demanded that she wanted to see what her apartment looks like on the inside. When my neighbor didn't let her go inside the apartment, the psycho or mentally ill woman called her a trick, *bleep*, and a *bleep* all in one breath. If she wanted to make friends with people, she wouldn't talk to people like that or try to force herself into someone's apartment. That's not very friendly at all. She's a danger to herself and others. Also, because she already has the fame of talking to herself and yelling at herself about the FBI, social security and any other government agency and she even yells racial slurs about her own kind. Who does that? I have talked to her but the things she says doesn't make sense at all. I would understand if she was a little slow but she's not. She's just does crazy things that others wouldn't do.

8) I live in a hotel here in California, OK. The whole 1st floor of this hotel has several people with mental challanges. The shelters are filled up with these unfortunate souls. They wonder the streets all day and night wondering around in their own worlds; futhermore, those people of which, have Drug and Alcohol issues as well! I used to avoid people like that before, but I started college this summer and my Major is Psychology and Alcohol/Drug Counseling. I am learning what they call dual-disorders. It is a very difficult field. There are so many mental subtypes and varieties. What I`ve learned to do is have empathy for them, not pity. They need help! :peace:
