Title: People who complain about their weight
Post by: sandiegosurfer on August 05, 2010, 02:42:30 pm
Does it bother anyone else when they hear someone constantly complaining about their weight yet you see them shoving fattening food in their mouths and don't workout?

A squeaky wheel gets the grease? Or in this case "the dough-nut" lololol

Next time you see something like that try to school them about better eating habbits.

I admit it, I'm guilty for not working out.  I guess I expect the pounds to drop off on their own.  I really don't mind working out, I even enjoy it to an extent.  However, I have an issue with depression at times so that leaves me in a mood to just veg out.

I hate it, i found myself when someone is complaining like that and then eat junk I ask them do you think eating that will help or hurt?  I can be a bit blunt since I have been struggling with weight myself and depression.  Its no excuse, its your choice to put that junk in your mouth chew and swallow depression doesnt MAKE you do anything.  When I start to feel a bout coming on, I go running or I push myself at the gym till I am just too tired to be depressed anymore.  Working out also builds up chemicals in your body to help you feel happier.  Eating right has been my biggest challange, I found planning meals works best for me and my family that way you arent temped as often to just order out.

People really don't like me because I am a very thin person and honestly I don't work out, I eat all the time, I do not have a thyroid problem and my metabolism is normal.  With that said, I can't be as blunt as I'd like to be.  But yes it does bother me when people complain and then do nothing but eat, it disgusts me.  I'd like to think if I was in that position I'd do something about it not just complain.

wow, do you know my family or what? my sister was unemployed for a year and put on at least 30 pounds and is now always complaining about how big she is and how she wants to workout and lose the weight... as she's shoving a mcd's double cheesburger and cup of fries in her face! :)

Usually, what really annoys me is those stick skinny minnies who *bleep* about the sugar free candy bar they just ate.
Or when the stick insect inhales the fating foods in front of me as I gain weight just watching them! It's the skinny twigs that really bother me. The chubby ones that *bleep* & in hale but refuse to go work out have a right to *bleep*. (They were not genetically blessed in that area). Who wants to listen to a bunch of stick skinny bitches complaining about the invisible fat they have or are gaining.  Give me a break! If you don't like to see or hear fat people, close your eyes & ears. It's a free country. ;D

doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is termed insanity.  Hence being fat and complaining about being fat but ergo doing nothing about it while you eat crap all day is stupid.  You have no right to complain if you are doing nothing to help yourself it just makes you sound ignorant.  Now if you are actually doing something about it and having trouble fine.  complain.  i am by no means a skinny minnie as you put it I have struggled with my weight my whole life, however its a life choice not genetics 90% of the time.

I complain about my weight all the time but I don't eat junk food or fast food. I am going to join a gym this week. I need to work out! I need to tone up! I need to release endorphins!

YES. i absolutely can't stand it when people CONSTANTLY complain about their weight when they're sitting there stuffing their faces with greasy, unhealthy food. I realize that it IS hard but they have to realize that they have to do something about it rather than just sit there and complain.

I am definately trying this same thing. i have been taking walks during my lunch hour - rather than sitting at my desk eating. i usually eat before my lunchtime. then i take walks and drink more water. walking w/ my little one helps a bit too. keeps me thinking gotta do more! :bootyshake:

I read somewhere that depression causes weight gain.  Well Duh, we get depressed ,we eat, we gain more weight, then we eat some more because we're depressed again! THEN we gain MORE Weight. Well!!! Isn't this a viscious cycle??? ???

I admit, I don't like my weight but, I don't complain about it. I don't like to talk about it anyways. Actually, I enjoy being big when I was in high school and on the football team. Now, I'm more concerned and worried about my weight since I'm not playing sports anymore. The best way for me to eat healthy is by fruit and vegetables. I know how to cook a few things like scrambled eggs, french toast, grilled cheese sandwiches and just the easy stuff. So, I don't know how to cook anything healthy for me. I wish I could find a woman to do all the cooking for me LOL

YES. I can't stand when someone who weighs a pretty average amount for their height and whatnot complains that they're too 'fat.' I always tell them to shut up and be thankful they're not really overweight or obese, and if they have such a problem with it then they should hit the gym.

I can't decide which is worse-when fat people do it while shoving a candy bar in their mouth or while skinny people do it while shoving a celery stick in their mouth.  I think it's worse when I go and say that I've lost 50-60 pounds already and people ask me how I did it.  I say diet and exercise, then they swear up and down that they do the diet and exercise thing, too, but I KNOW they are eating at Burger King twice a day.

I complain about my tummy. I don't understand that why my stomach gains weight. In my overall body only stomach only gains most of weight. Planning to do the stretches for the tummies

I was in the grocery store one day when the woman in front of me went to pay for her groceries with some sort of food card or stamp or whatever it is.  She was told she had too much, so she started to put some stuff back.  I was about to offer to help her pay when I saw what she was putting back.  She had a couple of kids with her, and she was putting all the healthy stuff back and keeping the unhealthy stuff.  I didn't help her pay.  In fact, I ended up in another line, so don't know what she did in the end.

I believe that we are in control of our own destinies. If you want to lose weight you can do it if you set your mind to it. I am an ultra-marathoner and can lose 20 lbs in one race if I chose.

I am overweight before, but after I stop eating pork, then I become slim. after I got married, I am busy with the housework and my job, I become more slim. Now I got my first baby, I am much more busy with my baby, housework and taking care of my husband. I become very very slim!
