Exactly how much is that? I buy huge things of garlic already minced. I usually take my son's old newborn spoons and throw a scoop of minced garlic in the mix. Is that too much or too little?
-
That depends. I had always done the same thing, and then I bought a garlic press from Pampered Chef. The first time I used it, the garlic was unbelievable. I wasn't used to the taste of full, fresh garlic. So, if you like your garlic strong, I would suggest a little more than that.

Try giving your dog a small amount of minced garlic glove too if they have a flea problem.

But you have to be careful to much can hurt them.

Maybe I will try fresh garlic - I'll have to save up some money for that pamper chef tool, first!

I use a teaspoon. -Sylver B.

They just went up to $16.50. If you know someone who is a pampered chef consultant, August is the month where they give extra bonuses to hosts. I'm having a party next weekend in hopes that I can score some free stuff lol

I am NOT downing Pampered Chef, I absolutely love their products and own a ton of them. My daughter-in-law is the top seller in our state, one of the top in the country, and as a result, I get a great deal on whatever I buy. That being said, BK, just buy one from any regular store. It will work just as well as the PC one. There's no need to spend a ridiculous amount on one especially when you may not use it very often. The PC design is no different than a $3 one from 'WallieMart'. That happens to be one PC item I would never pay the price for. I mince and press my garlic by hand anyway, but I use it a lot and I also cook a lot.

PC does have a lot of cool gadgets and gizmos, but stay away from their non-stick cookware. TEFLON is bad. PC voids their warranty if you put the cookware in the dishwasher or get a scratch in the surface. again did I mention Teflon is bad for your health. Teflon has been banned by the EPA, but the company that manufactures the chemicals that make Teflon have till the end of this year to continue making Teflon. The chemicals used in Teflon are the same chemicals that were used during WW2 to make nerve gas.
Again, they do have cool gadgets and gizmos, I love their fly swatter with the pinchers in the end to pick up the dead fly. I use them all the time in the spring when I leave the windows open.

I tend to stick with the stoneware and the stainless steel anyway. It is better for you in the long run. They make this kitchen spritzer where you can put oil in it and pump it out like you would with one of those non-stick kitchen spray cans at wal-mart and using that on stainless steel cookware or the stoneware is better for your health. Don't believe it about Teflon? Check out Dr. Oz...lol.

 Pampered Chef. I use their Pizza stones all the time. It even makes store bought pizza taste good.

Oh yeah! I just wish the largest one didn't weigh so much. I'm always afraid I will drop it, but they have a guarantee - no matter what idiotic thing you did to break it. I have also given PC stones to quite a few good friends for birthday and bridal shower gifts.

if you want something less expensive than the stoneware, try TitanWare, cookware. it is available at Sam's Club and BJ's warehouse stores, during roadshow event's. they use the same titanium surface that is in silverstone for $100's less.

If you look on the container of minced garlic, it should say how much equates to one clove... I think its 1 tbsp (or is it 1 tsp). But fresh garlic always has a stronger taste. No need to get a garlic press from PC; other stores have them. Or just be like a chef and just use a knife... slam the flat part of a knife (eg a chef knife or some other with a wide blade) on top of a clove to crush it open. Then just chop it up if you need it any finer than that. Usually I use the pre-minced jars if I'm putting the garlic in to a sauce or some other dish that has many other flavors (usually adding just a bit more than wht they call for), but use the fresh garlic if it is the major taste (eg home-made Italian dressing, garlic slices in slow-cooked meats, etc.)

I don't measure...I just spoon it into everything we eat. Gotta love the GARLIC!!
