Curious ole me has a few question's...K no religion in particular..
But do you think it becomes a obsession and unhealthy in some peoples hands??
How are you sure it is not a obsession for you??
What if you found out tomorrow the ways you try to bring people to your religion were harmful to that person or harmful for your fight to have them convert??
I am just curious being open to all and soaking in all and making my own opinions and analyzing it I like to know all true feelings not because god said this I want a honest what you think...

I think religion can become an obsession. However, I believe there is a difference between dedicating your life to a religion and religion becoming an unhealthy obsession. Many religions (including Christianity) have love at the heart of them, and love is the most powerful thing a person can and should preach.
How are you sure it is not a obsession for you??
I can't be. I don't think it is, but that doesn't mean everyone else agrees. I try to live my life doing the best I can and being the best person I can be, but I falter. My morals come from my interpretation of the Tanakh, but I don't carry around a Hebrew to English version of the book and consult it when faced with an issue.
What if you found out tomorrow the ways you try to bring people to your religion were harmful to that person or harmful for your fight to have them convert??
I don't try to convert, so I guess this isn't an issue for me. But, I see people like Annella and Sherene who are in a religion that seeks out converts, and I don't see them actively trying to bring people to Christianity. They see someone who has a question, and they answer it, and they share their religious views. (My 2 cents, :) )

People have free will and can choose whether or not to practice a religion.

Religion becomes unhealthy when a person starts trying to be god. Judging people, controlling people, and manipulating doctrine to their own agenda.
The definition of obsession....
1. Compulsive preoccupation with a fixed idea or an unwanted feeling or emotion, often accompanied by symptoms of anxiety.
2. A compulsive, often unreasonable idea or emotion.
I don't think I'm obsessed about religion because this definition does not apply to me.
I don't try to convert people. The people that have ended up accepting Christ because of anything that had to do with me, was through friendship. These people saw Christ in my life and wanted what I have. When they asked questions I tried to answer them, if they wanted prayer I prayed for them, if they wanted to go to church I took them. So, it can't be harmful when they are asking for help.

But do you think it becomes a obsession and unhealthy in some peoples hands?? Sure it is!!!
How are you sure it is not a obsession for you?? Because I live my life around my family no false prophecy.
What if you found out tomorrow the ways you try to bring people to your religion were harmful to that person or harmful for your fight to have them convert?? I do not care what religion or lack of religion people may have. As I said my life is mine others thats theirs.

That's how it should be. I was 'born' into it, so the choice was not really mine, but living it for 20+ years after I was older was my choice. If [note that is an exponentially huge IF] I ever made the choice to go back to it, it would be through the actions of someone like you. ;)

People have free will! No one has a gun pointed to anyones head forcing them to worship God.
Uh...god is. That's exactly what it is. Here's your "free will": a) Worship me or b) Be tormented forever. Hmm, not really a free choice, now is it??

Through action and love is the best way to witness, I always believed when I was a Christian back in high school. Too much hellfire and damnation can burn you. ;)
I believe a great many things that are different than those believed by Christians, but the common thread that I would like to see more often is love and acceptance. I see that here on the forum from you.

I got a mansion in Heaven...that alone calls for some praise.
And I'm going to win the lottery in my lifetime. When I win, it won't be found out until everyone in this generation is dead because I'm secretive like that (I wouldn't want people to steal my winnings). So you'll have no proof that I actually won the lottery, you just gotta take my word for it.
Same wishful thinking - same amount of evidence. Your mansion is a FAIL.

You're post cracked me up. I keep telling everyone there's 2 things I have faith in. You already know the first one and my second is that someday I WILL win Publisher's Clearinghouse. Some day they will drive to my house and "surprise" ... I was kinda surprised it didn't happen THIS year actually. (Oh well, with my luck the year it finally does happen...will probably be the year the money system goes "bust" ;) ).
Just make sure you keep it a secret until everyone you know is dead...lol. J/K queens. :D
