jim carrey is hilarious, but i can not stand will ferrell. paul rudd has become quite the comic actor lately, especially when teamed up with any of the judd apatow crowd. also LOVE the entire cast of forgetting sarah marshall, seen that movie at least a dozen times and still crack up!

Kevin James and Jim Carey are my faves :)

To me, there is nothing funnier than Jack Lemmon, Marilyn Monroe, and Tony Curtis in Some Like it Hot.
I really enjoy Seth Rogan, Steve Martin, George Carlin, Flip Wilson, Denis Leary, and of course the Monty Python crew. And, the Beatles were fairly funny in their films. I also thought the Monkees had their humorous moments as well.
(FTR, I'm 28, lol)

I realize I'm an old fuddy-duddy, but I am not a fan of most comedies on TV or in the movies of the present day. Most of them rely heavily on profanity and sick humor for laughs. I agree with the person who mentioned Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, and Marilyn Monroe. When you are asking about the funniest "of all time," I think Dean Martin ranks near the top, both in his movies and his TV show. And my very favorite was Red Skelton. He did not have to be obscene to be funny.

Robin Williams, Chris Farley, Johnny Carson, Dean Martin

I have to agree. Most of today's TV shows and movies aren't worth watching. Some of my favorite comedians are Bill Cosby, Lucille Ball, Carol Barnette and Red Skeleton. They didn't have to use profanity or toilet humor to try and get a laugh. The actors of today that THINK they are funny could take a lesson from some of these legends of comedy.
