The only time I use em is when I go on vacation...because my credit card is always declined :P out of state...I have to call them a couple days in advance for the card to go through...so I go to Walmart or buy a Mastercard gift card online...usually put $500 on it...and then IF I have any money on it when I get home...I spend it wisely :)

I use my debit card sometimes when purchasing groceries on the store or things on the mall. :D

@rj2010_m - Prepaid?
-
i use a prepaid when i'm buying offline, but other than that it's all cash for me. I dont have a credit card or anything, plus its simpler to not have a bunch of cards to keep track of (i'm good at losing things... ::) )
-
Sometimes, I'll get a prepaid gift card as a payment for a servay, and use that for my servays, so I don't have to worry about them charging for stuff over and over, but I use my bank debit card, only when I don't have enough cash with me.. I prefer using cash, because it's fast and easy.

@harleyy2 - I use prepaid debit cards online....NO, NOT for Fusion Cash.

I simply call my CC company and let them know I am going out of town and where to expect charges. It is their way of protecting my money and theirs. I don't mind calling at all since the alternative is much more devastating to deal with.

I pretty much just use my credit card for everything, but I ALWAYS pay it off each month, use their money all month then pay card in full! Rarely use my Debit card
-
I use them all the time, I like em for shopping for buying gas for paying jim membership for renting car and for FC. so yeah I have no problem using them you can reload them with your own cash I think its pretty cool there's no overdraft fee's so yeah. :)

i use them all the time and they are good on travel for me because if it lost while traveling no major info lost or wait time from my bank.. I use them main for gas but many pumps but a large hold on accounts

@timelord40 - Thanks for your responce (everyone)! It's a good thing when you can pay off your credit card so you don't have interest. I use a reloadable prepaid card because I can't get a bank account (bad problems in past). I like the method though of these reloadable cards because I use them as a credit card (simply hitting "credit" at the keypad instead of inserting my pin) and I can get my money at ATM's if needed...so it's really a great deal...and the best part I also have no monthly fee because my regular job and FC deposits money into my account. For my paycheck, I deliever half of money into the debit card and than after that I put the other half into a "retired" account! I love it! Hope this helped anyone thinking if they want a reloadable prepaid debit card, it really does work well!
-
Well there's nothing in the FAQ or TOS that I can see says we cant use prepaid credit cards. so as long as the offer has no problem accepting them I will use my preloaded credit card.
Some prepaid credit cards can be repeatedly loaded with cash via payal or other banks or with load packs cash is cash I understand what your saying but some offers have no problem accepting them.

I have 3 reloadable prepaid cards along with a regular credit card. The prepaid cards work great in & out of state! i sometimes have problems with the credit card tho. :dontknow:

@bhm2004 - Woah, what kinds do you carry? Are they all one kind (Visa, Mastercard, etc) or are they all different ones? I only have one Mastercard but like I said a little while ago (in this topic) I buy prepaid debit cards like from Walgreens, etc for going on vacation (restaurents, little knick nacks, etc) so my debit card company doesn't call me and ask am I out of town or still in my home state...I HAVE gotten a couple calls.....a couple times!!!

I'm with you. I can't really see any advantage to debit card. I use gift cards sometimes and I guess those are good if you don't want to get charged for stuff later but it's kind of a hassel when there's only a few cents left.

I have 5 cards total and even got a gold one. My favorite card to use if my babyphat card though. I use it for every single thing I buy. So much easier. I don't carry much cash because if you get robbed or something you lose any cash but with a prepaid card, it's all given back.

I have a prepaid card it's cool I use it for my job checks and den I have a regular debit card as well which I don't use anymore. Does FC use prepaid card for direct deposit?

@Khera2010 - As long as your prepaid debit card is reloadable, then it does offer direct deposit. I get my regular work paycheck put onto my prepaid debit card and FC pay, too!

I have a Prepaid Debit/Credit card that i purchased from Wal-mart and I love it :notworthy:
I use it to help me stay within my budget for the month. I put on there what I will let myself spend eating out at fast food places and for miscellaneous purchases and when I've used my limit, I'm done for the month.

@MeliM - Will you use the Direct Deposit feature to receive your money you make on here?

@Caterac - It's the other way around. Direct Deposit takes 1 day at the most (excluding weekends, holidays, etc) when the check takes at least 3 - 5 days to get to your home.

I'm already getting direct deposit to my PayPal account. Is there an offer I missed that would be to my advantage to change how I get paid?

Of course I can. In fact I can transfer some of the money to my card from my PayPal later if I so choose.

Why is your credit card declined out of state? That's very strange. I use prepaid cards every once in a while. I got a few as wedding presents so that was nice!

@mjdoug03 - I believe your talking to me...lol....anyways the answer why is because I go on vacation probably once every 5 years :sad1: ....meaning I NEVER go out of state for 5 years...I get prepaid cards at local grocery store  and then use em on vacation THEN I never had to use my regular debit card
-
I have a bank account but I use the prepaid cards most of the time, I use the bill pay on them too. The bank account you get charged for overdrafts, with the prepaid you don't that is great for me. I even get paid faster than anyone else at work with my prepaid card, I have direct deposits with my prepaid card. Works for me. I still got my identity stolen with the prepaid, but they gave my money back in 30 days just like a bank account would. :peace:
-
I used one recently. It was an American Express prepaid debit card that I
received as a gift for making a referral in a medical appliance program.
-
I use prepaid debit cards; they are great! I get my paycheck direct deposit, use it to pay bills, add time 2 my prepaid ph, etc. Recently got greendot but haven't used it yet.
