Title: Untruthful-Rude Lady! = (

I was looking on a website today that is for a military base.  I was looking for a puppy for my 3 month old daughter.  I found someone who was giving away free "mutts".  She had 6 of them when she posted her ad.  When I sent her an IM she told me she had 3 puppies. I told her I wanted one, but I was 30-45 minutes away and would be there within an hour-hour and half.  She said okay.  I text her back 30 minutes later to make sure the puppy is still there before I waste my gas and she tells me that a lady is coming to pick up the last puppy on Wednesday.

Now here is my question. Was she wrong since I was on my way to get one, to have given them all away after telling me I could get one?

and

Am I wrong for being upset about the fact that she was untruthful when she said "first come, first serve"?

May be she did you a favor.  She may have been lying about who she was and the puppies.  Consider yourself better off, and check out the local shelter.  Much safer that way. :peace:

Sorry that that happened to you...but you can never believe anything anyione tells you anymore. I love puppies and i'm sorry you were not able to get one but maybe you will soon. Good Luck!

It would have been nice of her to tell you, thats for sure!  I'm sure there are alot of people who say they're coming, though, then never show up, too.  It goes both ways....

It's better for you to get puppies from a shelter, you just never know ...

I have attempted to make purchases off craigslist and they end up sending me to bogus homes. 

When I call the number back they say sorry it was a prank my " sister" did.

You're right to be upset. If it were first come, first serve, then why is a lady going to pick up a puppy on Wednesday? That would mean that if you showed up before that lady, you'd get the last puppy instead.

Yeah. I think it was for the best. We ended up findin a puppy later that night for my daughter and so far she has been amazing with her! = )
