At least do away with the hell and devil and all that. Then all the newborns would never think such things exist and think they automatically get into heaven ~ NO MATTER WHAT!!!

Religion is a choice, you chose to teach your child your beliefs, kids are not born asking about heaven and hell, it is learned. If your child's friends share their belief w/them and your child is curious then you should respect that and let them chose if they want religion in their life.

I think there is a difference between teaching morality and teaching religion. I think too many times religion focuses on ensuring good behavior through fear instead of instilling the value of being good for the sake of being good, because its the right thing to do. Plus, I think there is a certain age where kids are old enough to put everything into context. My daughter will be exposed to religion...when she's old enough. And, it won't be just one religion. I think a good basic understanding of all religion is important in a person's religious development. In the meantime, we'll teach her the importance of donating a toy for kids less fortunate (we're big on Toys for Tots here) and, when she's old enough to help out, going to soup kitchens.
