I use to love to play games .... even when my son was growing up I was the one that always wanted him to play games with me! I loved clue.
-
Monopoly was a favorite for me as a child and is still a favorite today! My family loves to play it!
-
loved moopoly always liked being the steamship and winning most money and property.
-
MouseTrap
-
I loved Trivial Pursuit! We still play it as a family whenever we go visit my parents...the best part is the trash talking lol
-
:cat: Parcheesi was my favorite game!
-
Monopoly, Candyland, Clue, Scrabble, Mousetrap
-
My favorite board game as a child was chutes and ladders. For some silly reason I always enjoyed the sliding down the chutes a lot more than climbeing up the ladders. Go figure.
-
Chinese Checkers and Life
-
Monopoly without a doubt. Clue is probably in second place.
-
My favorites were Chutes and Ladders and Mousetrap as a real youngster, then as I got older, Monopoly and Clue. I also got a "bookshelf" game at an auction that sounded interesting -- Dune (a board game based off of the novels). I really thought that would've been a great game to play, except that the rules were very complex (for example, each faction had different winning conditions like the Bene Gesserit could win if they predicted which other faction would win) so no one wanted to sit down with me and learn them.

When I was a little kid probably chutes and ladder and connecgt 4. When I got older games like sorry and life were fun. Even a little bit older I liked card games such as bridge and rummy.
-
As a kid my favorite games were hungary hungary hippo, operation and trouble! As i got older monopoly and scrabble became favorites!

Chinese Checkers and Life

One of my sons loved that game. But like you said, it was too deep and complex for just anyone to want to play with him. Thank goodness, he had 2 friends into things like that, that would play it with him. (We three moms took turns letting them stay overnite just so they would have quality time to play.)

My favorite board game in my early years was Candyland, Chutes & Ladders, and Life. Whenever it rained in school, everyone stayed indoors to play games. It was great fun. :)
-
chutes & ladders :) I really enjoyed it a lot. It is a fun game & a memorable part of my childhood ! ;D
-
My favorite board game was Life, Monopoly, and checkers. We had a very large family so we always had someone to play with. Winter days when we were finished playing out in the snow we played board games. Memories! :)

-
it was a tie between clue and Life ;D
-
My fav was Sorry and Monopoly.
-
Did you ever wonder if Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley have a Clue about how they have a Monopoly over our board-gaming Life? It Boggles the mind how anyone else would want to Risk making their own game... ??? (Sorry for all of the puns)
(BTW, Risk is another one of my favorites, esp. in high school and college)
-
my all time favorite game was jenga, not a traditional "board" game but it was fun.
;D
-
i loved playing life.
-
Ludo as a kid. Pictionary once i got older. Still in love with pictionary
-
But really, back in the day the only board game was hop scotch and that was done on a sidewalk. I also liked jacks, step school and red light/green light. There were no video games so we made up our own games like "king of the hill" You played it outside on top of a mound of dirt. the last guy to leave the mound (or hill if you were lucky) was "king of the Hill". Hey, didn't they make a cartoon out of that? Anyway, some of you guys missed a great time...and we didn't wear helmets to ride our bikes or skate. We were really tough huh? ;D

As a little kid I use to love to play alot of different board games, I guess that my favorite board game was
Monopoly
-
I think when I was a kid the only board game was Monopoly. Of course, my grandparents had a real board game that was Chineese Checkers on on side and Carems (?sp) on the other side. I don't remember a lot about it but it sure did hurt my fingers.
-
When the kids just need to make noise...lol hungry hungry hippo is the ticket. :)

Clue was always one of my favorites. Now I play Life and Sorry with my kids. Actually, we take turns choosing which game because we have tons.

When I read the subject line, my 1st thought was Clue.....Great minds think alike!
-
I don't how many of heard of this game. It is snake and ladder the most beautiful game played me. It was always fun to play this game.
It does not take too much of your time also. It is best entertainment for adults and child.
The best to be played in winter ofcourse.

i use to love playing checkers as a kid... still do to this day!
-
I remember the first game I got was operation, and I was so excited about it, but being 4 at the time, I had no idea how to play it right, same goes for mousetrap. All time favorite would have to be HeroQuest, a dungeons and dragons type of game.
-
As I child I played checkers and Monopoly almost every weekend night. They were my favorite games. I also liked to play operation and card games as well. Children today don't know what they are missing. They are more inclined to play computer games rather than a good old board game. I am so glad I grew up in an era where simple games kept kids happy and engaged.
