:BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: I thought this show was about talent but I guess not. If she wins I will NEVER watch the show again. :BangHead: :BangHead:

I don't watch it and don't care to watch it. I don't have star envy or has-been envy. They're just people who happen to be famous and get paid ridiculous amounts of money. The best part is all the Hollywood actors who dropped out of high school who make political statements that are usually full of mud.

kqa, I thought I was the only person in this country who doesn't watch DWTS! ;) I think I have seen about 10 minutes of it, just NOT my type of show if I am watching TV period, but I know so many who are 'addicted' to it. To answer the OP's question, I guess I don't know why Bristol Palin is still on either..... :P
-
I have never watched it before this season, but I agree with tigerlilly, she does not have the tallent to be onthe show...she has been at the bottom for the last seven weeks...i've never watched this show before and to be honest i may never watch it again. My boyfriends mom is an avid DWTS fan and she watches it every week, which is why i have watched it this season...but yeah Bristol should not have made it this far at all.

I never understood why she was on the show in the first place. When did she become a star? :dontknow:

I stopped watching this show early on but it surprises me to know that she is still in it. I did watch it at the beginning and she never did a good job. She seems so stiff. It's a shame that she's still in there over people like Audrina Patridge.

I have sort of following this through the news headlines...I did watch a video of her in one of her earlier and in my humble opinion, she is there because she is Sarah Palin's daughter....all these reality shows are rigged, especially America's Got Talent...this last season really made me upset because most of the people have their own websites and they are already professionals...it's all about the ratings and the drama for the audience...period!

I'm with you on this!

I am another one who does not watch this show. In fact, I don't watch any of the reality shows.

I think any and all reality shows that are on TV are really ridiculous. I have never watched any of these shows and never will. A bunch of untalented people making money because of who they know. UGH!!!!
-
They've gotten rid of completly good dancers to keep her *bleep* on the show! Sends a good message to all those potential teenage mothers /sigh

I never watch the show, I only see the results when the news talks about it. And That Palin Gal cannot dance. I was listening to someone calling into the radio show said they called to vote for Brandy and the recording said thanks for voting for Briston Palin. It's rigged just like the other ones. When are they going to put something on TV to really watch? I guess they do that so people that really want to watch TV would buy cable to watch movies. :peace:

Exactly.
I don't watch the show but I saw the clip of her last performance where she was wearing some black dress. She had all he grace of a horse the way she was clomping around on stage. I shouldn't have insulted horses I apologize to all the horses reading this.

She's in it for the $$$$$. She needs $$$$$ to support her baby. It's either the show or live off her mother who's milking her spotlight and making big $$$$$ with books, shows, and speaking deals.
-
:dontknow:but everyone should dance. even wheel chair folks can dance. I saw that this week and dont know can we put links in here?c
They say dance as if you know someone is watching. And I suppose that is why Sarah is on there. To get advertisement.

Well your comment made me laugh. You have gotta ask how real are reality shows????? Cameras, directors, hair and makeup I took ballroom dancing lessons for 2 years and it is a lot of work to look graceful and know what you are doing all the time 2 years and I still can not tango or quick step and my jive ain't so jiving I can waltz and chacha and some line dancing but mostly I find I just go back to doing my own thing It is more fun. No reality show for me. :)

:) She is building up her finances and her career. You go girl! She is very young and have a lot of things to do.

There are a lot of unwed mothers out there. Some have no shame whatsoever, but keep popping them out, and living off the Gov't. Bristol has many times regretted her decision she made by having premarital sex. She kept her baby. She could have aborted it. Who would have known? No, she lived her mistake in the limelight of all of America. She now tells high school kids that she was wrong, and not to make the mistake she did. How many other unwed mothers are doing that?
That tells me that she's using her name (Palin) to do some good. Who cares what she looks like on some dancing program? Since I don't watch TV, I can only imagine what costumes your talking about. If it's a high profile show, then the Directors and Producers are probably very influential what the people wear. That doesn't make her hypocritical. It puts her at the mercy of the boundaries of the show. She's probably doing a lot of what she does to support her and her child. What's wrong with that? She's putting herself out there.
Your judging a young woman that made a mistake. Calling her immodest, and criticizing everything about her, right down to her mother. Then you turn around and praise movie stars that wear little or nothing, and won't get married, and have children out of wedlock like it's no big deal (over and over again).
I think it's the mother you don't like, and your taking it out on the kid. Since all of us have never made any mistakes, ::) lets all criticize someone who has.......He who is without sin, cast the first stone.
Also, just my opinion, 90% of TV blows......

Since I don't have a TV, whatever performance is in question is something I can't comment about. However, I don't think anything Hollywood cranks out is of much worth. My opinion.
I happen to know the Palin's personally. I worked on a few projects with Sarah when she was Mayor of Wasilla. Bristol was just a little girl at that time. They raised their children with morals. Your post of "no wonder Bristol had a child out of wedlock" is critical and not fair. I don't believe Bristol is pulling dumb stunts for attention. The whole family has been thrust into the limelight, and a lot of things have not been handled well. Have you ever gotten into a situation that you wish you never got into? It seemed innocent enough at first?
Also, I can't judge anyone's Christian walk because I can't see the heart. Only God can see that. None of us are perfect Christians, and we all make mistakes. What we need to do when we see someone's Christianity being compromised, is not stand with the accusers, but to pray that they find their way back to the humble feet of Jesus. That is what Jesus would give a "thumb's up" to.

It Just Keeps Getting Worse :angry7: You Can't Make Up This Kind Of Publicity :BangHead:
Maximum Security Surrounds Bristol at 'Dancing' Tonight {Article posted on POPEATER}
'Dancing With the Stars' will be in full lock-down mode Monday night when Bristol Palin takes the dance floor after a threatening letter containing suspicious white powder was received at the production office Friday.
"Everyone is on high alert," an insider tells me. "It's like a scene from 'The Bodyguard,' with Bristol playing the leading lady."
The ABC show confirmed that measures were taken to ensure everyone's safety before it was determined that the substance was talcum powder, but would not comment on the additional measures insiders tell me will be in place for Monday's live show.
"Nowhere in the world is going to be more secure than the 'Dancing' set on Monday," an insider tells me. "The audience will all go through extreme security checks and not even the president of the United States could get backstage without the appropriate credentials that evening."
Staff at the show have never seen anything like this before, with unprecedented security costing the producers hundred of thousands of dollars.
"This is a dancing competition, for god's sake," an ABC source tells me. "None of us signed up for this. We should just be worrying about getting the best shots and making sure all our lighting cues are tight, now we are all worrying about our safety. It's just not right."
