haven't seen it yet. been wanting to take my wife but we can't seen to get a tme that both of us can go, we're like 2 ships that pass in the night.

Haven't heard of Dear John! I'll have to look out for it. Sounds like a good movie to catch.

I am hoping to watch this movie over the weekend with my best friend when she comes over. I have it in my instant que on netflix, but I don't really want to watch it alone, and my husband barely gets time to watch movies with me, and when he does he is so tired from working that he falls asleep in the middle of it. I hope I don't cry watching it. I cried watching Homeroom...Anyone ever seen that?

Yea it is. I watched it awhile back and thought it was really good and yes sad. I would definitely recommend it if you're in the need of a girlie movie. :wave:

I read the book a long time ago .... and just saw the movie about a month ago.  I love Nicholas Sparks books and usually the movies are terrible or not anything like the books but this one was pretty good.  It is very sad.

I never read The Notebook but I thought that was a great movie. I read The Wedding and based on the ending of the movie that didn't carry over to that book so I can see what you're saying about not being anything alike :wave:

It was a great movie but I cried off and on through the whole thing. But sometimes the best movies are the ones that make you cry.

The book and the movie are a bit different.  Kind of disappointing in a way, but both were good.
