Hello. Sorry to hear about your headaches. I too, get headaches quite often. There is nothing worse than a pounding migraine that just won't go away..... I have suffered from headaches since I was very young. And there is not much that can actually make them go away once I get one.... When I start feeling one come on, I know I'm in trouble and better just start planning to make sure I'm getting home and have a quiet place to lay down.  Medications do not help at all. Tylenol, Excedrin Migraine... none of that stuff works for me. I have now rather than trying to fight the headache once it starts, I have been paying more attention as to how to prevent them..... I've noticed that eating on a regular schedule, not missing meals, and going to sleep and waking up at the same time has helped me miss out on a few headaches I would usually get. But I still deal with them weekly. If I feel one coming on, I have been able to somehow trick it by eating some chocolate, or getting a quick soda in. Doesn't work all the time, but it has steered a few away. Good Luck.

Headaches are caused from primarily 3 sources. #1. Brain turmors ( You should see a nurologist and get appropriate test done) #2. Food/or other Allergies ( You should see an Allergy Specialist and get appropriate test done). #3. Misalignment of the  vertebrae in the neck, OR herniated disc in the neck. I have had this. ( See a good chiropractor, IF you can find one.)

THE ABSOLUTE BEST MEDICINE that I ever found for the HORRIBLE HEADACHES that I used to have was    Headaches-Luyties #33  It is a homoepathic medicine and it worked wonders for me. It is very inexpensive. You can priobably just Google it and find it OR call 1-800-HOMEOPATHY.

Freepcmoney listed some good advice - sounds like your headaches are a chronic issue - if you have not consulted a doctor yet, you may want to.  The suggestion about a chiropractor would be my first recommendation.  I too had chronic headaches and it turned out I had a neck that was curving forward instead of back which put huge pressure on my lower neck vertebrae.  Once I started treatment to fix the alignment, my headaches became less severe and are now almost non-existent.

I have other non-spine related triggers - high stress causes muscle tension headaches.  For that, I need to find a way to reduce whatever is stressing me out - music, some good workouts, stretching, massage (highly recommend the massage).

Also dehydration sometimes causes me bad headaches.  If you drink a lot of sodas or coffee and not much straight water - part of your issue may be a dehydration headache.  May want to cut back a little on your caffeine intake and increase your water intake.

Also, whatever medications you are taking - may want to check what the main/active ingredient is in them.  I had a friend who had constant headaches and took over the counter medication to relieve the, and they did, but when they wore off, the headache came back.  Turned out his headaches were really caffeine withdrawal, and the headache medicines he was taking were mostly caffeine based - so once the pill wore off, he was back in withdrawal.  He basically had to switch to a non-caffeine based medication and drank a lot of water, and about a week later he was free and clear.

Not knowing what you have and have not done already - hopefully some of these give you new ideas to try.

I wish you luck in finding your trigger(s) so you can get some relief from these soon!

make sure you are well hydrated.
Also - check on the allergy thing.  for many people there are triggers for headaches which can be scents, smells, dust, etc

:wave Thanks for some of the posts and advice. I unfortunately have spent some considerable time in the doctors office' and a few overnights for testing including cat scans, and unsure what they call the other test... tiny electorde sensors all over your body while sleeping and a series of different lighting situations.. Nothing showing bad to doc... kindof a good thing but still wish the migraines would go away. They have wasted many good days.
