Title: Referal Question Probly answered 100 times or better
Post by: jazzy3098 on March 19, 2008, 07:59:22 pm
Ok this question has probly been answered more then 100 times already.  I was just telling one of my friends about this site while talking to her on aim.  Well she signed up before I gave her my referal link.  She felt kind of bad that I couldn't get the credit for telling her about the site.  So my question is if there is any way I can get credit for her signing up even if she didn't use my referal link?

Probably not <.<

-Unless she doesn't log on forever and FC deletes her account and then she signs up again? Who knows :P

I've had this happen to me on a couple of sites, both as a referral and a referree (is that a word?).  Both sites were very helpful giving us credit for the referral.  What I did was open a trouble ticket, send them my referrals name and IP address, and they moved him into my downline.  When another person didn't get credit for referring me, I sent her my username & IP address and she sent in a trouble ticket, the admins moved me into her downline.

I don't know if FC can do the same, but it never hurts to ask.  I've found that most really good site admins will help you out as much as possible.  Good Luck and hope this works!

Unfortunately, because of the way bonuses are set up and applied automatically, we can't adjust the referral status accounts after they are created.  Sorry.

Yeah....the other site I belong to....My mom signed up using my e-mail address instead of my screen name in the "referred by:" field....And all I did was send in a support ticket to admin with her user name and they put her in my downline.

but whatever.

There are no "levels" in FC's referral system.

You receive $1 when your referral signs up through your link and confirms the verification e-mail.
You receive $2 when your referral completes their first offer, and
You receive $5 when your referral cashes out - and that is each time your referral cashes out.

Unless you know your referrals personally, there is no way to check on them or to contact them.  :sad1:

I'm really surprised the admin can't do anything about this - another site I'm on, Fire House Offers is owned by a friend of mine and last night she hit the wrong button and accidentally deleted my account.  I got up this morning and when I opened yahoo msg I had like 4 urgent messages from her.  She called me on the phone and we went through my list of referrals and she was able to place everyone of them back in my downline.  And since I've been marketing her site like mad through my webpage and forums, I had 32 referrals - so as you can imagine, we were on the phone for quite a while.

Seems weird that they can't do this with your friend here??????

Obviously it's not crazy; It's very logical and smart.  However, the majority of sites I've ever visited that have a referral system (whether GPT or not) have a spot to put your referrer's name.  My mom had just signed up at another GPT site that I referred her to that asked for my name, and she then went to Fusion Cash, expecting the same thing.  It's just frustrating is all.  Especially when she was trying to help me out with money (being my mom, ya know)

I never got my $2 bonus when my referral completed his first offer. He told me he liked it and had done the Pay to click thing a few times and I did get the $1 bonus but not the $2.

The difference here is the "downline".  When you get a perpetual percentage of their earnings, it's more trivial to "place" someone as a referrer after the fact.  Our bonuses are one-time deals (except the cashout bonus, but that doesn't seem to be the issue here).  They are applied automatically, but only after a number of "checks" in the system.  There simply isn't a function in our system to change someone's referral status automatically and give them bonuses.  I would have to go into the database manually and edit it, and I'm not going to do that.  Sorry :)
