Title: Whom is most missed?
Post by: Ittai on December 10, 2010, 04:34:07 pm
I see that Michael Jackson is still talked about on T.V. So out of all the famous people in the world who really makes us miss or remember them in our life? :dontknow:

I personally don't miss any famous people who have died, since I didn't know them. I certainly don't miss a child molester.

Personally, I don't miss anyone famous. They haven't given me a dime for anything that I've gotten. In turn they are the ones that make money off of each dvd, cd, concert ticket, etc. That we purchase from them. Don't get me wrong they may have been some great people. The only way I would miss someone famous is if I knew them personally. The people that I miss the most are my loved ones that have passed on. My uncle who got murdered by a 16 yr. old, my great-grandmother who died in the hospital. They are the ones that I miss.

I agree with the majority of the responders.  I do not miss any of the famous (or infamous) people who have died.  I feel a bit of nostalgia for a few of them who I admired now and again when I hear them mentioned, but as for missing them - no.  I miss my mother very much, who is the closest person to me that has gone.  Not one movie star, singer, or other famous person gave me the unconditional love she did in my lifetime.

(Cubarican, thanks for the lovely Christmas card!!!)

Of all the celebrities that have passed on, I really miss Michael Jackson.  What an entertainer, in a league of his musical creation and a messenger of peace and love to the entire world.  After viewing the "This Is It" video and watching the new video that was released yesterday, what a talented man he was, a pioneer in music and videos and a victim of his own fame by other greedy people.  Of family members, I miss my mother who died on August 1, 2010 and her sister died within two weeks later.  But knowing my loved ones are together in what we as humans can only begin to fathom, gives me solace, peace and love within.

There are several people that I love and miss very much.  They are more special to me than celebrities.  I miss my Granny and my best friend.
