Happy New Year to you all?4 years ago we removed our regular phone our landline .
We were able to keep our old telephone number(for the land line)
and we now use it for our cell number.
Some carriers do not allow such use of land line numbers but ours did Verizon...
We have been thru many a ice storms where we have lost power for 2 weeks telephone poles down you name it. Being able to charge my cell from a car charger and stay connected to the outside world Made the 2 weeks more livable.
So my question Is do you have a land line at your home that you are still connected to and use, Or did you drop this and use your cell phone as your only phone. ???

We still have a land line, but I never use it. My cell phone is my primary phone and probably always will be. We never get important calls on the landline anyway; all we get there are telemarketers.

I have a landline and a cell phone. I still use my landline and only use my cell phone to take messages.

I have never had a land line since I moved out of my parents house 8 years ago. I just use the cell phone since I am not much of a phone person anyway. It seems silly to pay for both and a cellphone is handy in an emergency away from home.

We have both cell phone and land line. We very seldom use the landline and we have a great cell phone plan so we use the cell phone more.

i never use my landline , in my house waste of time , too much people calling that i dont want to talk too
-
Dropped the landline when I moved, and just use a cell phone now.

I prefer land line because it's cheaper(magicjack), if you make the landline cordless it's like a really old cellphone ???!!

i have both an landline and a cell phone(3 cell phones between the 2 ppl in the house) why? well, one phone is free the other two are on plans. one is a prepaid phone..i had to put mins on it yesterday so i wouldnt lose my number. i've had the number since 2005.

We haven't had a landline in years. I like using cell phones more just because you can always get in touch if there was an emergency or something. I think they make life a little easier.

I only use my cell phone as a main phone. Everyone in the house owns their own cellphone. There is no point in me paying for individual cell phone plans and a land line as well. So I got rid of the house phone.

I have both, but my cell phone is my primary phone. I rarely use my land line.

I have a land line and a cell. I use my land line 99.9% of the time. My cell is mostly for emergencies. I don't like talking on the phone anyway.
-
I prefer landline. It's much more reliable.

We have both land and cell lines-house phone has no long distance plan on it and we recently got a really good deal on a cheap(actually free) cell phone plan. Using the combination of the two brings our phone expenses way down. For someone who is just starting on the internet and trying to make money its good to utilize both.

We have a land line and a family cell phone plan. We all have a cell phone, but my wife doesn't. She only likes talking on the land line. Doesn't make sense to have both, but since she is the boss, she wins. :)

Cell phone. We do not have a landline.

I have a cell phone and landline. I like to attend calls on landline because it is good for ur health and voice is louder than cell phone so that u don't have to put by the side of ear. Moreover it does not emit any kind of radiations.
Cell phone emit radiations harmful for your body. And it is advisable to have landline always handy.

I have both but use my cell phone 99% of the time. I keep my land line hooked up to a fax machine. It helps to annoy telemarketers.
-
We have/use both ;) I told Hubby to drop the Land-line but he doesn't agree with me because if we have emergency and you cannot talk whatsoever, 911 can trace your location and cellphone they don't do that. I don't know, I just agree with him anyway ;)

i have both

hving a cell has been more useful than a landline

We have cell phones only. I think it's rediculous to pay for a landline when we have our cell phones on us at all times. Plus its cheaper than having both lines.

I have both. Landline for emergency. Just in case the cell phone dies out or it's out of range to make a connection.
