I think it should be against the law because it causes a lot of accidents. You on your driving and others driving.
-
I think as long as you are hands free device or a bluetooth it's fine. Texting is another story...
-
I think using cell phones while driving is dangerous for both drivers and pedestrians.
-
Distractions of any kind while driving are potentially dangerous. People should have better sense than to use phones, read, have headphones in, eat, etc. while driving.
-
Its dangerous while driving especially if you don't have an ear piece. A lot of people can't really drive correctly without a cell phone and then they stupidly start a cell conversation without benefit of an ear piece. They passed the law here that those driving without an ear piece will be fined, yet the police never enforce the law. The insanity continues on.

:angry7: I think that they are more dangerous than Driving under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs!! >:(
-
It's very irresponsible to text when you're driving. What is it sooooo important that you HAVE to send the message while driving? If it's so important, please pull over and do whatever you need to do to get things done.

:angry7: Driving while using a cell phone or texting is just WRONG :BangHead: WRONG :BangHead: WRONG :BangHead: !!!

I believe its against the law here in WA and Oregon for people to use their cell phone. Then again, I still see many people still using their cell phone behind the wheel. Oh well, people never listen or obey the law.
-
Using your cell phone while driving is so stupid, but that person won't understand this until it happens to them. I think Oprah did do a great jobs about bringing this to the public. We still need to do more. Maybe if the police give out more tickets it would help. ;)

People who use cell phones whille driving should get a penalty or more. Those people only care about themselves and not the people they will hurt
-
It is definately a distraction. But I am not sure that there needs to be laws against such a practice. Might be better to create a vehicle that does not allow cell phones to work while the vehicle is engaged.
-
Hands-free devices are ok. Thank God CA has a law that requires this.
-
Funny thing is that I learned about some studies in a psychology class that the impairment is the same whether you have the cell phone to your head or have a bluetooth because the person on the other end cannot help you avoid obstacles. Best thing to do is avoid it in stressful driving conditions all together. Personally I hardly use my phone when driving.

Don't be talking or texting while driving. Its too dangerous!

I live in PA and these people I swear they don't listen. No texting while driving and they still do it. It's like they want to look cool with a cell phone in their hand. How does that make someone look sophisticated when just about anyone in America can afford a cell phone now? Most people think they're invincible until they or someone else end up dead. It's a shame that innocent people die because of stupid decisions that others make. It's like they don't have any regard for anyone's life and such a shame that they don't care about their own either. I put Cell Phone use (while driving) and Drunk Driving under the same category. That's the way I look at it.

I don't use my cell phone while driving.

I know that if I'm doing something really interesting on the computer and someone calls, it's hard to concentrate on the conversation and operate the computer also (like taking a survey). Now put that computer behind the wheel and you multiply that lack of multitasking 10 fold.....no thank you!
I can't tell you how many people on their cells, or texting just don't see you! It's happened to me many times. A lady pulled right out in front of me one time and never even acknowledged that she almost hit me. She kept right on talking as I stood on my brakes and off she went....never looked my way.
-
Certain Age groups shouldn't be allowed to talk on the phone regardless of whther they are using a hands-free device due to their complete lack of concentration on the road (including myself). Given that you can't discriminate all phone communication should not be allowed. Even though you are able to hold a conversation with people that are sitting I think there is more distraction with a phone call.

I am totally against it as well. It makes me feel good to see people pulled over on the side of the road to talk/text. There are still a lot of people who don't, but there will always be people who don't obey some law(s).
I hope you all are being safe ~ my Fusion Cash friends 8)
