I think its very annoying that it is hard to find a job these days. :BangHead: what do you think?
-
i think its annoying too. then u have to pay to get the job
-
You don't have to pay to get real jobs.
I have put in I'm pretty sure over 100 applications (NOT exaggerating) without finding a job. All I want is minimum wage and something to put on a resume in the future. Why is that so difficult?
-
let staffing agency help you. they can find job for you even if the wage is not high, it is better you don't have job.
-
I'm not looking.

:angry7: I do not want to say it but, it`s only going to get worse out there!! " finding work that is" Sorry :-[ :dontknow:
-
i was looking but i got tired of not finding a job and i found this awesome web site FC and now im doing someting good with my life and i dont get bored in my home alone!!!!
-
:(I am looking for one. It is hard if you are retired.
-
What's really hard is if you've never had a job before. Everywhere only wants experienced workers, so how are the workers without experience supposed to get experience? It's just impossible. : My mom is starting to say that I should just put some lie down on my applications, but I'm not really comfortable with that. : I feel like I could get into a lot of trouble.

I have a job but I am looking for another one because my company sucks. I had two interviews already but it's a long process. I applied for one company in the beginning of September when they opened hiring and just heard back from them right before Xmas. Still waiting on the next interview. The other I applied for in October and went to an open house in the beginning of December. I had a group interview last week and still waiting for the next phase. I work for the airlines and some of them are hiring again. You don't need experience but it's helpful to have customer service experience. This is a site for airlines hiring for flight attendants. http://www.flightattendantcareer.com/hiring_info.htm.

I'm fortunate enough to own my own business. At my advanced age I would have a terrible time finding employment.
Try to find ways to be independent of the workforce. Also keep in mind the "get rich overnight" offers you see online will usually just steal your money.
I guess I average $20 to $50 per month online. Not huge but it pays the ISP and a few other odds and ends.

This is my plan. I hope to be out of the rat race permanently in less than two years. There' s no way in heck I want to be 50 years old and still trying to beg someone for a job.
-
Heck yeah! That's why I'm stuck at this crap job now.
-
You gotta have nerves of steel thats for sure , like what ive learned is to never ever get your hopes up no matter how great you think the interview is going , its basically a roll of the dice now and it sucks

its hard being disabled. i want to work but cant. most americans are lazy. they *bleep* about the job they have when theres a gazillion people that would die to have one. be thankful for what you have because it could be gone in an instant.

love to have a work at home job ;)

It's very hard. I've applied to many jobs over the past few months in this small town and had heard nothing back from any of them. However, I actually have a job interview in about 10 minutes for an HR position at the prisons in my town.... wish me luck. But yeah, the best advice I can give is to go for Government agencies, like prisons or police and fire dept. they always need extra people. Check with your chamber of commerce online and they might have some posted.

Hi this is Ticome (Newbie) I cannot help but agree >:( this whole job search thing is crazy as well it is a ridiculous game I had an interview w/ a known Financial Company out of the blue 'could not believe what was involved in the preliminary of it. and the how severe the questions got. It is no real news what those in these "HR dpts" are doing, being more careful to an extreme than ever. But if anyone has worked in HR knows there job is primarily to weed out the volume of applicants no matter how nice an friendly their manner may be. So we are in one of those times where if you have a friend(s) that can get you at least an interview not unlike Clint Eastwood in his movie GRan Torino I say go for it unfortunatly most us don't have that so just keep using the better job search sites or there is that author Richard N. Bolles of Waht Color is Your Parachute a published every yr. for many years. Good luck to all of you out there.

I think that it is bad that there are so many out there that are without jobs. It is hard times these days. There are also many out there that take advantage of the fact that there are thousands without work. And some that have lost jobs that are just happy living off the state. It is terrible that our country has sent so many of our jobs over seas to save money, and in return it hurts the country. The government should stop bailing out major corporations and start helping those who really need it!

I would love to find a job, I have been looking for over a year.
-
I finally found a job!!!! The only thing left before I start is a background check, cake! I hope you all have better luck this year as I have!

I am disabled and am unable to work but my husband is out of work and having a real hard time finding any. Everyone wants experience and is not willing to train. Or, another big problem he is having is a lot of employers are wanting bi-lingual. Something is very wrong with this picture.
-
I agree as I am sure most of us on these forums would. I am abot 5 months away from graduating with my BS and I am very worried about finding a job. Everyone I talk to say they try and try but to no avail. It seems those who do get a job in this tough economic time are continually performing more and more work for those that cannot be hired. I pray that I will at least to be able to find a job that is full time. I know it probably won't pay great, but at least it would be a start.

I think its annoying when people lie for no reason at all.
