Title: What was your favorite cartoon as a child?

Post by: footemama on January 17, 2011, 01:14:36 pm: My favorite was Scooby Doo and I would drop everything to watch it. I also remember watching Looney Tunes on Saturday morning. :) I was older when Rugrats came out but it was a cute show and I watched it with my younger brother.

I loved Top Cat, Quick Draw McGraw, Ruff & Ready, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Huckleberry Hound ..... all of the real cartoons. The cartoons they make today are not for kids and not a bit funny.... the old ones were funny and innocent.

Post by: kezalter on January 18, 2011, 10:50:45 am: Reading other responses in this thread reminds me that I also loved Garfield as a kid, as well as Doug and Beavis + Butt-Head. My favorite for awhile was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Even looking back and realizing it was basically just a glorified toy commercial, I still would list it as a guilty pleasure.

They did make that new GCI one, but I assume you mean another live action movie. I would love to see them start from scratch with one of those.

Today's cartoons, generally speaking, insult the intelligence. I grew up, from Danger Mouse, to loving Dennis Miller's NFL commentary. Our population loves everything simplified whereas I love having to look an occasional word up.

i would always sneak and watch beavis and butthead too! lol :P

i loved old nickelodeon, rainbow brite, care bears, david the gnome, felix the cat..

Let me try and remember their names. Donitello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Rafael. Splinter was their master and shredder was always the enemy with the "Foot" clan. lol those sure werer the days!
