Post by: wongjason72 on January 17, 2011, 05:09:15 pm
Which brand do you guys think is better and why?
Although, I love my iphone I will never get rid of my PC and trade it for a mac.
I would like your opinions.  :)

i attended an art/design school and they had four computer
labs, but only ONE was pc! the rest were macs and i absolutely
hated it - probably because i'd never used one before - but
they're just so touchy. i couldn't even figure out how to copy
and paste. they were simply annoying.

however, most of the graphic design students and teachers
swore by macs. if you're using them for high-tech and business
use, they can handle much better under pressure than a pc.

i mainly use the computer for internet, writing, and photo-editing.
a mac would be a highly useful tool just sitting there!

I have a desktop pc and can do most anything I wish to do on it.  I won a macbook pro notebook and rarely use it.  I don't know how to do much of anything on it and can't get used to not having a mouse.  I think I will get a mouse for it.  That may help.

I would really like to try a MAC.  People say they are easier to use, but I know it is hard to change old habits.  My cousin is her this week visiting and he has an iPad.  Pretty cool for sharing pictures and things.

I would LOVE to have a Mac! I'm currently studying biology (killing me softly, lol)
But i'm minoring in music business & management. I love everything about music production.
I record, mix, and master all of my own music, but it's hard work doing it under the Windows 7 program.
Having a Mac and the programs that come with it would make my job 10x's easier!
Garageband & the overall clarity of the screen, and ahhhh OMG! lol It would just be amazing!
I'm sure learning how to use a Mac and understand it fully will be challenging, but just the experience i'll recieve in a sum will probably be a lot better than any Windows 7, Vista, or XP

Macs seem so confusing to me.  Maybe if I had a chance to practice.  How do you do that without buying one?  And then what do you do with if if it doesn't work for you?  Hmmm...  I do like "Big Macs", though! lol  ;D

I do a little bit of graphic design work as a part of my job, so I'm familiar with both.  I'm quicker on a PC though, simply because that's what I use more.

A MAC is mainly used by the music and film company due to more compatible software.
Have you guys heard of the Hackintosh where you install a retail Snow Leopard OSX disk
on a compatible PC? Both a PC and a Mac for only a fraction of the price.
Of course it'll only work if your PC is compatible.
LOL  ;D
