Title: blizzard feb 2011
Post by: sands01 on February 02, 2011, 05:35:54 pm: How many of you got hit by the blizzard? We got hit hard and got about a foot of snow. I live in Iowa.

Yeah we haven't had any snow but jeez it's been cold! I live by the mountains...and by a canyon so it's windy too. Honestly I'm over the snow and the cold. Winter seems to last forever in UT.

Where abouts do you live in Iowa?? I have family that live in Centerville and Moulton, and across state lines in Missouri. Are you Snowed in???

This has been a totally miserable winter and I'm SO ready for it to be over but they're saying it will be slightly warmer but not above freezing for a day or two & then more snow :crybaby2:

I live in Dubuque. We shoveled yesterday and I was able to get out today even though they didn't plow our road very well.

We didn't get blizzard here in CT we got some snow mostly ICE! On top of the lets see I would say almost 2ft of snow, I am glad my dogs are not that bright, the fence is only now about a foot over them lol! They so could jump it if they wanted to, lets hope there are no squirrels in sight.

It was honestly the most insane thing I have experienced in my life.
We got around 18 inches.
I had to drive through it at 8:30pm to pick up my mom from work.
I can't believe I made it there and back alive.

Post by: kingreyam24 on February 04, 2011, 07:07:56 am: I live by DC and I absolutely love that there was a storm to our south and a storm to our north and they split and completely missed us. ;D Plus it was almost 70 degrees on Wednesday. I had the windows open. Unfortunately, it was only that warm for that one day. We're back below freezing yesterday and today.
