Post by: MommyWifey08 on February 02, 2011, 05:56:22 pm
Did you guys file your taxes yet? are you gonna get a refund or do you owe? we efiled with turbo tax last week the IRS expected it within a day and we're expected to get our check around the 11 or 20th. we did direct deposit.  what are you guys gonna do with your refund?

We're planning on doing our taxes next week, since our W-2's JUST came in the mail today. I have NO idea when or if we'll even get a refund this year though, because of the amount my husband makes. But, if we get a refund (fingers crossed!) and don't owe anything, then we plan to use that money for our baby (our first child is due in July!).

My boyfriend got his tax form and already filed. He opted for direct deposit. Still can't believe how much we're getting back. $6,250. Not too bad considering he works at Walmart.

Planning on buying a new laptop/desktop and new clothes for our daughter. We're also buying a car.

I haven't filed yet but I will do it soon.  I already know I will get a refund for federal and owe state.

yeah we're getting a little more than $5,000 back - the credit for having a child under 16  and the earned income tax credit for having earned income under like 42,000 or something.  our refund is more than a third of what we make in a year. definatly gonna be paying some bills - well all of them actually lol

To be honest, I usually pay someone to do my taxes.  I get freaked out about missing some law that got changed or not calculated some amount correctly and it costing me an IRS fine.

I filed already but didn't recieve anything, when I called the IRS I found my old school loans came back to haunt me and took it all away, under the circumstances I've been forced to send in information to at least get some of it back but will take 6 more weeks :/
