I am really excited - I am sort of bummed because I was going to use the money to pay off my car - then my insurance can go down and I'd save $150 a month - then I was going to pay my other debt off and be done with it. But - it looks like we are going to have to use the money as a down payment on a house. I want a house before the new baby is born (which I decided on Claire Audrey, but I'm sure I'll change it again). I'm also bummed because I won't be making any extra money while I'm on maternity leave (I usually put ALL my extra money, whatever I don't need for groceries and gas, onto my debt. I'm sick of it already). But I have a little stash of money to help pay my bills while I'm off of work. I think I'll have about 800 saved up, but my bills a month are like $490 a month, and that's not including gas or groceries, which is about 100 a week. Hopefully I can get some assistance while I'm on maternity leave or else I don't know what I'm going to do! On here I just do forum, daily email, and the 15 cent thingy. I don't want to risk my credit card or anything, plus it worries me wondering if they canceled my trial or whatnot.

If you have a bank account get it directly deposited so that you can get it in 8 to 15 days. Instead on 2 to 4 weeks.

i wouldnt suggest waiting til next week to do ur taxes. get them done as soon as i get ur w-2's.
-
that sounds like an alright amount of bills you have this week? very interesting

if you live in california, get them done as soon as possible. because of the deficit they are only paying out tax refunds until they run out of money and then everyone else is getting IOUs. :(
luckily, i filed our taxes the day we got our w-2s, on january 20th and had both refunds direct deposited into our bank account by th 28th of january, CHA-CHING! ;D

I personally hate tax time. I do them myself and get aggrevated every year doing taxes. Noone comes near me when the taxes are being done. The problem I have is I do it for the whole family. Mine and the wife, and my two kids. So I wind up behind the computer for about a week or two.

I would get on the phone with them. They are required by law to mail them out by Jan 31st. If you haven't received them by now, I would start calling next week.

I think I am going to work on them the last weekend of February. I have been busy every weekend and will have to devote time to bust out the Turbro Tax Premier and start entering data.... What program will you be using?

We go through H&R block - I know, they are expensive but I am afraid if I do them myself I will make a mistake.
