Title: What does America mean to you?

What values are important? what interest you most?
are you passionate about issues of the country?
what do you hope to accomplish or contribute? :confused1:

America means being free and to chase whatever dream that I may have. IF i wanna be a singer or if I just want a simple life as a farmer or such.

Well, it's supposed to mean freedom of religion, but I think they have shelved that.....Separation of church and state....hummmmm not if you watch Fox news it isn't.   All men are created equal.....not really. not if you weren't born in this country, and even some born in the USA, are not treated as "Equals"....I've begun too wonder what America is all about really.

we are indians and my husband work here now i don't want to go back to my country.everything here is so good.but i hate too cool weather.

I've been fortunate to travel to other places in this world and see how good we have it. No matter where you go there are always hard times and bad things going on but we at least have more oppurtunities than most, so i'm happy for that.

Yes we are the best!! I agree. but we are fast loosing our freedom.

I am a veteran of vietnam and i love this country, It is the best  country in the world. Why because people from all around this planet has had a hand in make it a great country, America is the whole world in one place and if we can learn live together in America then we should be able to live together in peace on this planet.

I agree with you. my bother and many good friends were in vietnam, my dad was a veteran, 2 of my grandson are in Afgan. now - and I am proud of them. But we all know FREEDOM IS NOT FREE...  :wave:

America is a dying country. We used to live in "freedom". now everything is mainly government control. :dontknow:

To me, america means being able to live the kind of life you have dreams of. America is a great country, and is the longest stable government in the world currently.

America means to me the Home of the brave, Land of the free. We are blessed to live in America, even though it seems to be in a mess at the moment.

America symbolizes freedom.  Our children can get an education and have opportunities to be successful.

America means to me a chance for me to be free, for my family to be free.  I believe it is a chance for all to work towards what they want without choices being taken away from you.

It's not a big deal for me wherever you are; but for me it's an opportunity, how to learn more and be appreciative of what you have. :)

ALL is not lost. with GOD all things are possible. begin praying for GOD to take over. that is what is wrong
we have given our freedoms up but not being involved...
