This ought to be a real challenge for real people. I have put some hours, weeks, months, and even years over that profound question. I am writing a book about this subject and believe me I am getting some resounding clues to this question. I have mixed emotions about those two very talented individuals and this task has brought about one of my most pleasant endeavors during my life time. Michael or Elvis? You be the judge!

I think Michael Jackson takes the crown hands down. Elvis Pressley was truly great during his day, but Jackson is (was) the king of today.

Oh no, decisions, decisions!! ???
I would also have to pick Michael Jackson.

I must say Michael Jackson. I just loved that man and wished he could have lived longer. Such a unique individual with out of this world talent and I believe he had a good heart.

Michael Jackson was a creative genius.
I really enjoy Elvis Presley too!

Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson were both great entertainers. However, I would say that Michael Jackson was the greatest entertainer of my generation. I am a child of the 1980's.

I agree with you that Michael Jackson was the greatest performer of the '80s - however, thanks to Elvis, the pathway had been paved for him.
Also, I think that Madonna was the greatest female artist of the 80's. imo.

I am a child of the 80's/90's and would have to say Elvis all the Way he had so much class.
Michael Jackson really never interested me and Madonna was okay until she got all freaky. JMHO

Well no one's voice can compare to Elvis but no one's moves can compare to Michael Jackson's so it's hard for me to choose. Michael Jackson was a great entertainer and his music is much more danceable(made up word) than Elvis'. So if I want to hear a nice classy, sultry voice, I would tune into Elvis and if I want to dance my butt off I would put on Michael's music. I think I would choose Michael hands down because I was born in the '80s. Elvis was more like my dad's era. ;D

Michael jackson was more my generation so of course i would lean towards him. But Elvis did more than just sing. He was an actor also. So with music and acting and concerts combined i'd go slightly more with Elvis.

i think they are both great,i think elvis's voice was better and micheal could dance better,

I, being a 70's child, have had a lot of exposure to both and would have to say, as far as the most profound impact upon me and my generation, it MJ hands down.

Elvis appeared on Ed Sullivan when I was 16, I wasn't really a big fan then, I got a little older and he turned into a "HUNK" and a great performer too!!!
Michael Jackson and his brothers appeared when my own Kids where that age , by the time he broke records with "Beat It" on TV everyone Loved him and we still do. There can be no contest between these two giant Personalities, they each are Super Stars in their own style of entertaining. So "no contest" between them. They will always be remembered for the great talents that they were... :icon_rr:
