Just in the head. Though since there's a major market for it, one could easily say the opposite.

Very interesting comments, Sheryl. I have mentioned on here before that my mother was a paranoid schizophrenic, the 'worst' type as far as classification and management of it with medications goes. She was a woman who most definitely believed in God. She would also, literally, scream out to him, "Why can't you take this (voices) out of my head! Why can't YOU make me stop feeling and thinking the way I do!" I can say with 100% surety she did not consider it 'a gift' of any kind - saw horror not angels - and neither did any of the family think it was a gift. It was pure hell, period. :( I have also been involved with many schizophrenics over the years via working in the medical field and have yet to hear one happy about their 'gift' either.

Wow, marieelissa, I'm really sorry to hear that. How old were you when you were diagnosed?
