what is the difference between environmentalists & progressives? they both want to reform & control. They offer a utopian society that in the end is doomed to fail. Paul Ehrlich was an environmentalist who warned of dire consequences of overpopulation & suggested that voluntary efforts of family planning were likely to fail & the state would have to step in to control birthrates, especially in developing nations... who creates the baby in the mother? our government? American's need to pull our head out of the sand and stop the take over.

Because, yes, environmentalists and progressives have such power. I must've missed the fact that we're taking over.

Umm...overpopulation is a serious issue in many countries. So bad that China enacted a population-control effort years ago (more than 1 kid = much higher taxes for the couple). The problem with overpopulation is people don't know about the issue. They are either naive to it or they use religious dogma as an excuse to have 12 kids (damn you, mormons!). Unfortunately the places with overpopulation are the least equipped for it-- 3rd world countries and all. Education needs to spread, men shouldn't breed their woman (or women) like dogs, and people need to use birth control, or we're going to do the whole bacteria-timeline. What does that mean in human terms? Resource wars, famine, and horrifyingly massive death rates that have never been seen before in human history, and then possible endangerment/extinction due to desertification.
American's need to pull our head out of the sand and stop the take over.
Educate yourself and others on the issue before you come to such selfish conclusions and you'll slowly see that no gov't will need to step in. You'll do the world a big favor.

playing GOD? what a joke. did you create the moon, the stars, the earth, the wind? do you have any power to control them? I don't think so.
can you see the wind? can you catch it in your hand?

What the heck are you talking about? Since when is educating people about major problems in the world 'playing god' or 'catching wind'?
