Title: Does anyone still wear a watch?
Post by: tigerlilly01 on March 10, 2011, 12:04:04 pm: I never wear a watch anymore ... I ALWAYS have my cell phone near me so I use that for the time. My husband will never carry his cell phone so he ALWAYS wears a watch!!! He only takes it off to sleep . His watch is waterproof so he even showers with it on!!.

Post by: bowrunner on March 10, 2011, 06:05:20 pm: I used to wear a watch when I was away from home but I lost it so now just have a fancy one that I only wear once in awhile. I really don't care to have my cell phone totally attached to me all the time.

Contrary to what is seen on TV, we do NOT all look up at the handy clocks which are always shown on the wall in those 'hospitals' for calling time of death, etc.

I wear one all the time and am glad as I never seem to have my cell when I need to know the time. I just think it is easier. I guess I am just from a different era. :wave:

I am also in a position where status checked on an hourly basis and sometimes the watch that I wear reflects a more confident image allowing the person that I am doing business with to have a better level of trust in me.

Post by: thetop31 on April 06, 2011, 02:52:24 pm: If I have cell phone, I do not weat my watch, now I have only landphone, so I wear my watch, and my watch like a bangle bracelet, since it looks like a diamond, cos the diamond covered the watch. so it is also a bangle for me.

When I was younger, my parents always were buying me the cool looking digital watches. I actually still like wearing a watch, but the thing is, that ever since I got married, and I have a ring on my left hand, I feel that it looks weird wearing a watch on that wrist. I guess I could wear the watch on the right wrist, but I always wore it on the left, since I am left handed. I just think it looks weird with my wedding ring and band and the watch on the wrist. And now-a-days, I keep my cell phone either in my pocket or in my purse, so when I want to know the time, I just pull it out and look at that. So it kinda doesn't make sense to wear a watch anymore.
