Well I did step on the scale this morning and I do weight 15 lbs less so far the only thing that I am doing different is eating more REAL FOOD which means cooking real meals and I do eat less but I also eat good snacks but I do not fret over whether I will or will not eat that cake cookie or whatever because there is none of that here in my house any more soooo that helps big time

I also am eating whole, natural foods. If it grew from the ground or had a mother than it's ok. I don't eat anything that is manmade in a lab somewhere.

Walking more Is one thing. I also have been eating more salads. I add chicken breast to It so It's filling. I could eat salads every single day lol

Apple Cider Vinegar three times a day to help with fat and metabolism. Bragg's is the best to use. If you google ACV you'll get a ton of info and other uses for it.

I like the Six Week Body Makeover diet, actually Im gearing up to start another round on Friday

Walking helps, but at a fast pace. You want to get your heart rate up and keep it up for at least 10 min. I walk my dog everyday, which helps because she walks at a really fast pace, not dragging me or anything, but just quick. Also, swimming laps is very good excercise. Or even just walking in water waist deep for awhile at a quick pace.
Now as for a diet, eating fresh fruits and veggies is always a good suggestion, but I know sometimes all that you want is anything but that! I try to keep all the junk food out of my house! I dont even go down that aisle in the grocery store anymore because I know I'll be tempted! I make a menu each week of things I am going to cook for the week, then make a grocery list of all the things I will need to make those meals. I also add healthy snacks to the list, so that when I do need something between meals, I can choose something good for me. Then when I go to the store, I stick to that list and nothing else. If its not of the list, it is not in my cart! That is my motto!
Being healthy can be hard work, but if you find a regiment that works for you and stick to it, the results can be terrific! Good luck!

I quit thinking about it, if I think about it all the time, then I want what I cannot have, if I think about other things, life in general I am not so much focused on what I cannot have.

I started my journey to lose weight over 8 years ago. It took about 6 months for me to lose the weight, and I've kept it off ever since (except when I was pregnant).
It is not as hard as you think. You know what is healthy, you know what isn't. Make sure you know the nutrition facts of everything you eat. I started by exercising 30 minutes a day. Whether it was pilates or my stairclimber. Once I had lost some weight, I joined a gym. I go at least 4 days a week to the gym.
It's so worth it. You just have to want it bad enough.

It sounds obvious, but when I want to lose some weight, I basically just eat less and exercise more :dontknow:

I have lost about 7 pounds since January. I am using the elliptical about 20 to 30 min a day 5 to 6 days a week and trying to eat healthy. I have cut down dessert to once a week ... (maybe two if I'm good) ;D

I used to try every diet I could find: potatoe diet, soup diet, hot dog diet, ice cream diet, etc. When I was doing marathons I used to use the Mayo Clinic diet which was a two week diet that always took 20 lbs off of my frame no matter what kind of shape I was in. This diet depleted carbohydrates but allowed you six meals per day with the sixth being an all you can eat. The healthies diet I had was the EAS challenge: six balanced meals per day which kept my body from going into starvation mode (stocking fat) and combined it with moderate excercise.

ive actually lost 25 pounds of weight when i first went to college. all the added pressure must have done it for me, because i didnt exercise or diet or anything. lucky me, i guess. well not, really, since i ended up being underweight and then in need of gaining lots of weight

Eat more meals a day and eat smaller portions. it gives your metabolism time to keep up.

First thing to do, especially for women is to get your thyroid checked very carefully. Made all the difference for me, because it was not working at the level it should have been.

What haven't I tried? lol I lost a lot of weight when my kids were between 1 and 3. You have to chase them ALL day!!!! And who has TIME to eat when they are that age?

Eat fewer processed foods- the general rule is, if it doesn't go bad, then it isn't good for you  Do some exercise that doesn't feel like exercise. I am not good at routines and dance exercise videos are hard to follow so instead, I made a mix of my favorite upbeat songs on playlist.com and crank them up during the day. I move faster and bounce around doing housework and in between chores, I take a "crazy dance" break with my 2 year old where we, well, dance like a couple of crazy people. No one's looking so you can just cut loose! Great for burning calories.
