Apparently I live in the "nerdiest" state; that's not really something bad. (Ohio)

I think I just might move to Ohio. I was born in the state worst at robberies and moved to a state worst at cancer deaths.

I will take a bad commute any day compared to some of those other things.. Look at it.. Ugliest residents.. Rape.. Gonorrhea.. Ugghhh

I live in Oregon......I know we have a lot of panhandlers around and a large population of homeless. It is a sad situation, my family and I volunteer at soup kitchens a few times a year.

Arson! There are pot holes all over the place so Arsonists probably get caught before they get too far. Personally I don't think road maintenance is at the top of their "ToDo" list!

Well honestly i live in corruption and mostly it's true although there are some good people in government, but normally if your good and wanna keep your job you listen to your fellow constituents and bring up majority opinion.

The state that I live in was recently voted happiest in a recent poll. In my opinion, the state is worse when it comes to managing their finances.

I would say my state is worst at "Balancing the Budget", but the map has it as worst at "Taxes" - which to me is pretty much the same thing (taxes are so bad because the corrupt politicians my fellow citizens of New Jersey tend to elect can't balance the budget). So the map actually got it right in my case!

Well, being from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, I guess I have to say "oldest state" since that's what the map says. I guess that must mean "oldest" in terms of peoples' age. If that's the case, I'm not sad about that at all. Don't get me wrong, I love kids, but having raised 3 --and still raising since they're all teenagers--I can say (and I'm sure I'm not alone here), they can definitely be a pain. Plus the fact I'm a baby boomer (last year in fact--1964) means that I'm part of an "older" generation anyway and I might as well be among my peers where I'll feel nice and comfy.
And besides, it really doesn't matter anyway...as soon as my kids are out of school, I'll be heading to Thailand to live. Very hot, but the cost of living is awesome!

:angry7: I was born in Ohio now it really sucks! No jobs, gangs and just plain crap. I just moved out of California 6 months ago same thing. So, I moved to Colorado and now it`s really hurting.. I guess anywhere you go is doomed?? :'( ???

I live in Wisconsin, and it's really bad on politics. No one can agree on anything. Both parties just bicker at each other. In the meantime jobs and the economy suffer. I wanna move but can't afford it.
