I absolutely love the new reality tv show...Wedding Wars! Who's with me?
-
I don't watch Reality T.V. Shows
-
This particular show is about couples surviving in the wilderness, & competing for $20,000 cash plus the wedding of their dreams. It's so fun to watch. I don't even like watching competitions, but this one is really good!
-
I agree that this is a really good show to watch and it is fun. I have watched it since its premiere; I love watching reality tv shows for entertainment.
-
I don't care much for most reality shows since they aren't very real. I confess I have been watching Teen Mom though.
-
they just don't appeal to me think they are boring.
-
I'm not a fan of reality TV, unless you include some of the competition shows. Top Shot is ok, next Iron Chef was decent, and Worst Cooks in America... But I'm not sure I'd count all of those as reality TV.

I don't watch Reality T.V. Shows
I am with you I do not watch any TV as I had to cancel it for $$$ reasons and I find I don't miss it and when I had
tv I did not watch the reality shows I think they are contrived and not real at all after all it is TV. :)
-
I don';t watch too many reality shows, but I do like Teen Mom and Jersey Shore...Jersey Shore just makes me laugh. Other than that the reality shows just don't interest me.

I like reality shows that actually test out a person's skills in a certain area: Top Shot, Next Food Net Star, Top Chef, America's Next Great Restaurant, Apprentice (non-Celeb), Last Comic Standing, etc. I don't like the ones that have these mini-games in them that have nothing to do with what the show is about... Survivor would be better if they really did just dump a group of people in the middle of nowhere and had them survive on their own, voting people off based solely on how they contribute to the camp. Likewise Amazing Race has these stupid stunts in the middle that have nothing to do with traveling to a different land: I could see the ones that are more about experiencing the culture (like having to travel by rickshaw), but some are pointless busywork and don't really let them experience the culture (like storming a castle and then repelling off the wall). I'd rather that it was more like a global treasure hunt where they'd get clues to the next clue-box, and they'd have to try to figure out what they are talking about and get directions (eg the clue might be "This is the largest building in New Delhi").

There are some reality shows I like and watch but for the most part I wish the whole genre would just disappear.
-
I do like Teen Mom.
-
I love teen mom--even though it's far from realistic. It's like a trainwreck; can't take my eyes off of it. I wish they'd bring back the original teen mom girls, though.
-
I really don't watch any reality shows either.
I caught a little bit of Kardashians over at
my sisters not long ago. :star:

I agree but I think the ones with a competition (ie: Survivor) and the ones that show someone's skill (ie: Marcel's Quantum Kitchen, Cake Boss) can stay. Reality shows like the Kardashians, and Teen Mom should disappear.

I think reality shows are the worst in programming. :BangHead: What is real about them? Do you, everyday, try to survive in a jungle? Do you, everyday, attempt to out cook everyone on your street? Do you, everyday, stand around and act stupid like the Kardashians (sp)? Or even, do you do it once a week? I think America has lost its creativity. There is nothing real in any of those scenarios. I think there are a bunch of monkeys sitting around CBS, NBC, and ABC, and FOX, playing with every ones head and we allow it to happen. Reality is, people don't have jobs, people are losing their homes, gas is too high, and the Federal Reserve has taken the public on a very bad roller coaster ride. They left the cars in upside down mode, and are standing on the ground catching all our money. All the while, we are hoping to get off that ride and hurry home to watch the next reality escapade. Sorry bout that, I just simply had to read this. We used to come up with interesting things to watch and fill our minds with something more than the trash they are putting out these days. And we wonder why our kids are so aggressive and don't think twice when they see someone shot to death. :dontknow: Okay, I'm done now. Have a great day guys!

I have to disagree SCARTER984... True, there are more serious things going on in the world, but who wants to hear about it, much less watch it on tv all the time? It's good to sometimes just lay back & laugh a bit. No, the things on those shows aren't what happens in real life(all the time), but it's called reality tv because the shows aren't scripted. I don't know what reality shows you've seen, but the shows that I watch wouldn't cause a child to blow anyone's brain out It's just tv, but to each their own....
-
I like reality gameshows best, although they start to copy each other after awhile. Watching someone's boring life via a reality show doesn't really do it for me.
-
The only reality show I sometimes watch is deadliest catch. Other than that I don't watch any reality TV.
-
they've gone to far, If they never made another I would be happy
-
I used to watch REality TV ALL the time. Now days the only one I HAVE to watch is Biggest Loser though I do watch Wipeout and Minute to Win it and the Bachelor every once in a while. Reality used to be my thing, now I just don't have much time to watch all the shows I used to.
-
I think there are way too many reality shows, but it's just a trend in tv. Just like there were a boatload of game shows not too long ago. Where are they now?
Personally, I watch the last few weeks of The Batchelor, and American Idol. AI is probably the most fake of all the shows, so I follow the voting guidelines given at the Vote For the Worst website so that it's at least entertaining for part of the season. LOL
-
I watched American Idol the first couple of years then got bored and stopped watching until the last few shows This year there are some awesome singers. I don't do the vote thingy, but I have enjoyed the voices this year. Not too sure about the reality of it all, but at least it entertains.
-
I am not a fan of reality shows but I did enjoy the bits from paradise hotel, bad girls club and America next top model.
-
I love reality shows

That's the one on vh1 right? I've only seen 1 show but it seems kind of entertaining. As of now the only reality shows I consistently watch is bad girls club and sometimes Aubrey O'day.

Reality T.V. shows ruined television for me. All the channels I use to watch (Discovery, History Channel, MTV, G4 and many others) started having reality tv shows to the point they nearly took over and all normal broadcasting became special. I wouldn't mind so much if there was only one channel dedicated to this type of programming. But it seems like every channel out there has to have 1 reality tv show. Even AMC of all places had a reality show.
-
I saw yesterday that there's going to be a "Pigeon Forge" reality show. Why??
-
I love ANTM. I really want to model in life and this show is very inspirational especially to me. LMAO I didnt even know that it was a reality show till my great aunt. :P
