why do some people get the jobs they want and not others?
even if they have a good education some cant get work.
whats up with that, I think its discrimination. ???

You can have the exact same qualifications as someone else and still not be a correct fit for the job....especially in small places where there are a limited number of employees the recruiter is going to pick the person that they believe will mesh with the group best personality-wise.
In a way I suppose that it is discrimination but for most people I will venture to say that it is more about personality and how you present yourself than it would be about which box you are checking on the ethnic/racial question sheet if that is where this question is trending. ;)
Another reason could be availability....many employers in my city have operating hours that are 24/7. You're availability could very easily be not what they are looking for. I have a HUGE problem with this because I have to find daycare for my son but I also teach a class a couple of nights a week. It has been virtually impossible for me to find a job in this economy because of my schedule (and because many of the available jobs simply would not pay enough for me to be able to afford daycare for my son which further limits my availability). Someone with a more open availability will get the job over me even if I'm "perfect" for it.
Just some things to think about.... :)

you have to look for a job in order to find one

Hi tend to lean to that end. However, sometimes they have legitimate reasons for not hiring some. Remember it's an Employers' market so they get the pick of a lifetime!

Keep trying to look for the job you would be happy with while you are at a job you don't care for!...eventually you will find something!!
