So i got my tongue pierced on St. Patricks Day and changed the bar and stuff, but there has been this dent in my tongue where the tongue piercing ball rests on the top of my tongue. Can anyone tell what that is and is it harmful?

I think tongue piercing is disgusting. The human body was definitely not designed to have a metal button screwed into the tongue. However, to each, their own.

Never mind the hateful comments love.. if you want o pierce your body up then its your choice. and the dent thats in your tounge you dont need to worry about it its natural. i had my tounge pierced before i have a couple of piercings. i have my eyebrow my bell i have the bar thats in my ear i have my nose and i want a couple of more. no need to worry as long as your keeping up with it and cleaning it you will be fine

Don't swallow it. My daughter swallowed two. I took her to the ER the first time. All got a big kick out of seeing on the x-ray. I'm glad she finally outgrew that stage of her life!

the dent is probably there because of the ball, it may be because either your tongue is getting used to have it there or because the bar isn't long enough. that happens to me with my nose piercing, i have a lot of scar tissue and it's hard to find studs that are long enough so i have a dent for a while.
