The primary purpose of values is to guide our actions and our decisions. "Words to live by" are just words … unless you actually live by them.

Your post reminds me of this saying, " Action speaks louder than Words". You can talk all you want, but unless you put the words and incorporate into action, the words are meaningless.

I teach college, and I like to remind the students of the power of words! Some are pretty loaded in a negative since, while others have actually switched meaning over time. Awful is used to describe how terrible something is, but it originally meant how something filled you with awe, (meaning it was amazing). Great thread!

Your vocabulary should be increased by at least one word a day.
