anyone getting up in the wee hours of the morning or middle of the night depending where you are to watch the royal wedding?
-
Not I. I think it's kind of silly !! ::)
-
no..srry! not interested in any of that kind of stuff :dontknow:
-
I think I would. This is one of the most important events in history. It does not happen often. It would be soooo cool to watch a royal wedding in my opinion.
-
I really hope my body allows me. I wasn't born when Di and Charles got married and I'd like to say I watched at least 1 royal wedding in my lifetime
-
Nope

I am pretty sure that none of us really are going to have to get up! This is the late information age and media age! We have video streaming and internet! I am sure that somewhere the entire wedding will be broadcast for months to come. It may not be live but it will still be watching the Royal Wedding.
In fact, I am pretty sure I did not watch the actual live wedding of Princess Di but I do remember watching it somewhere at some point in time!
;D

what makes it such an important event? because their royalty? woopty doo da. and yes it does happen often, people get married everyday both famous and non-famous people

Nope, Im not interested in watching the royal wedding. Its just another wedding and they seem to end with a divorce sooner or later. I don't even know why the whole world gotta make a big deal out of it.

I'm with you. What constitutes royalty anyway? Because they set themselves up as a Monarchy? They were neither voted in nor appointed by the people. It's an antiquated system. What is so amazing to me is that the common people (not common in my book, that's what royalty calls them) allow them to keep perpetuating this mentality. I read that William is marrying Kate (who is a commoner), and then she becomes "Her Royal Highness" after she becomes his wife....lol So after she marries William, her life has some worth and comes with a title of royalty, and she is now passed from commoner to royalty? Fairy tale indeed!!

how to do a royal wedding beats me!
-
No.. When? I have no time to watch anything on TV at all let alone a royal wedding. I have more important things to do like meditating and sleeping. :P
-
I get up at 6 am central time. If it is being broadcast at that time, I will watch it. I remember when Prince Charles and Diana were married. I watched Diana's funeral. If I do miss this, I'm sure it will be broadcasted at a later time.
-
Heck no. I could care less about seeing it.
-
Im not sure. I would like to watch the wedding but I just think. It is going to be a bit much for me.
-
Idc about the royal wedding ;)

I read an article yesterday that put my views into perspective. My sister-in-law also said something that stuck with me. I didn't watch Charles and Di get married. Why would I miss another royal wedding?

I grew up with a royalty crush on Wills (because every girl dreams of being a princess) even though IMO Harry is the better looking one of the two. It is a big deal. It is what little girls's dreams are made of. What is the harm in watching it? What would be the harm in not watching it? The monarchy itself may be outdated, but who is really governing Britain? Yep, that would be the Prime Minister and Parliament. So, the title of royalty is just that: a title. I will watch it, even though it may not be in real time, but I will still watch it. Because the little girl inside of me wanted to be a princess and marry a prince and because the mother in me wants my daughter to feel the same way as she grows up. And because it is fun to celebrate the love between two people, royalty or not.

April 29th is my wedding anniversary too and i like to watch it later as iam going to record the program
-
My sleep is more important than that wedding.
-
Not at all interested in watching it.
-
LOL !!! What is the Big Deal ? Would I get paid to watch it? Why would I want to watch a Royal Wedding? I was my husbands princess now I am his Queen and I was there for the wedding I LOVED IT....no need to watch some other Royal Wedding. Don't we all women have a Royal Wedding when we get married to our prince? :notworthy:
-
i think i too will just catch highlights and pictures on the internet and on the news

Ill watch the rerun. The news will play it over and over till we want to turn the tv off for a week just to get away from it. And the Hollywood will do a movie and the specials it will never end. Only wish that Diana was here to see it.
-
BAWWWW. I think this is so over dramatic.
-
I want to see it. I don't know if I'll end up staying up overnight though. A bit to though for me.
-
Since I did not get an invitation to the wedding, (ha, ha), I am not getting up to watch it. Frankly, I don't care to much about the wedding at all.
-
No, I have no intention of seeing it; I will not have time to watch it.
-
I'm definitely not going to watch it live. :) But I would like to see at least clips from it. I also want to watch the Will and Kate movie that Lifetime showed on Sunday that I missed. I think that it's interesting and really what girl growing up didn't want to be a princess... ;)
