Title: Working from home
Post by: swv on April 27, 2011, 12:15:20 pm
Anyone had any success with work from home jobs? I know you can't post links on here, but any suggestions of what I can do for additional income, besides FC?  I don't have the extra money to invest in anything, so any free jobs that you know of are what I'm interested in.

Search GPT sites on Google. It is FREE and you can earn cash there. If you live in the USA, you will have many offers to complete, you earn cash for offers you complete. Mainly just advertising. You get paid instantly with paypal in most GPT sites. Good Luck ! :)

I'd suggest that too. I've found some other PTC that work great. I'm almost at cashout on 2 of them right now.

i have tried one or two of those and they were scams.  one was a business and extremely difficult.  so if u want something simple do not do a business.  research these"jobs"  on th einternet.  there are people who write reviews about the good ones and the bad.  u shouldnt pay to make money. dont spend your money.  at least 50% are probably scams.  like my dad says if u want to make money u have to do it the old fashioned way go out and get a joband u can make a little side change on cool sites like fusioncash.  Good luck and be wise when looking into work at home jobs.

Yes....GPT, which means "Get Paid To" are sites like this where you get paid to complete offers, take surveys, watch videos, etc. The other term that you may see from time to time is PTC, which means "Paid To Click", which are sites where all you do is click on advertisements and get paid. I belong to a couple of each and I like FC much better....earn money a little faster.

I am looking for that magical work from home...with a good paycheck. So far I have had "no luck". Most of the ones I have tried are scams. They promise and promise, take you money and I see no results, no returns, no checks. Does anyone know where the good ones are?

I use a couple of others besides FC. But I also look at other things also.  I think it is like everything else every penny counts and you have to look everywhere to find income.  I also if I can find a different rates for something and it lowers my payments or cost that is like making some money.

why not use cashcrate to make extra cash. For instance I know the offers wont do much but if you make multiple videos on youtube and share them everyday and stuff people would be interrested. Everyone is looking for money opportunities  so im sure they will sign up but if they dont oh well. but most likely there really isnt a good website out there that will make a living for free. theres other sites i know that i also use myself but no links up here so

@gorer01........

No, unfortunately you cannot post your email address or referral links to other sites here in the forum. The only thing you can do is discuss other sites in general and discuss ideas.

Ugh, I tired ChaCha, and I got so frustrated with that stupid test that they make you take.  They don't give near enough time, so I was like to heck with this.  The stupid timer ran out on me, and I was already struggling with some of the questions.

I do a couple of other PTC sites and Clickworker, so all these are cool.

I got asked to post ads from a company, but they ASKED me and made the offer.

We get quite a bit from free affiliate programs.  They range anywhere from alternative health product and supplements to actual equipment and various things.  We mostly stick to anything that is related to alternative health, since that's our niche.

Companies like Expedia have affiliate programs, if you happen to be in the travel business and/or have a website or blog with a lot of traffic that is related to travel, etc...  You can get a free blog with Blogspot and/or Wordpress.  There are others too.

There is the Amazon Associates, and Google Ads and things like that.

Squidoo is one way, but to be honest they have severe censorship, and if they don't like your subject, they will lock the page, so I wouldn't waste any time there really.

I own and run a music forum, and I can put any link or subject in there that I want to.  And the members can put whatever link they want in their signatures.

I put affiliate links in my email signatures too.  As a matter of fact, the FC banners and such will work in the email sigs, so that's an option to consider too.

Love the kitty MessiahMews.

I'm new to this, but I've had some success with a site called Fiverr.  I heard about it on the Nate Burkus show.  So far so good, but I haven't cashed out yet.  I can however use some of my gigs there as stepping stones.

I also have two websites that are content/keyword based and I'm working on putting up ads and working with affiliates.

Being transportation challenged and arthritic the present job market just doesn't have much for me.

Thanks to all who shared suggestions, I'll be checking them out too.

There are a number of different ways to make money online. I just started exploring the free options a few months ago and am making enough to keep my head above water already. My true goals are to eventually learn how to earn wealth by mastering internet marketing and affiliate marketing. But for right now I am learning a little at a time. It is a lot of fun and there are so many ways that it is hard to loose interest. I started doing research by reading blogs. A couple of useful blogs I read were: Make Money Online Free and 420 Ways to Make Money Daily. These blogs go through the plethora of information and actually go through individual sites such as Fusion Cash, and others.

Good Luck!

You're right to not trust that one.  They would've sent you a photocopied flyer or brochure instructing you to place ads like the one you saw, copy the flyer/brochure and stuff envelopes with it to send to anyone who sent you their $40 for it.  Quite the racket.  :bs:

I have made a little bit of money, mostly on fusion cash.  Nothing significant though, everyone wants a credit card or some form of monetary deposit to make money, which sucks!! :BangHead:

I've tried a couple of different work at home site's , one I had a web page, but I had ptc, which can add up after a while, especially if your not making anything. I gave up on them, since they wanted a fee, even though it is refundable, but still. So I just stick to the survey sites instead, like FC, Surveyhead, this is a good one, they pay a $1.00 or more for their survey's, and Panda Research. These are the three main one's I do right now.

I got told today that the job sites have reputable companies, now I am talking verizon, and names you really know that are hiring work from home. It may be worth checking into. Rule of thumb, if they are asking you for money, that is probably how they are making theres, not a great idea.

Working from home is cool, I use this site plus 6 other loyalty sites to earn cash, I am also working on a website for advertising them for referrals.  I have not mastered it yet and still have a regular job, but hope to remedy that ASAP!
